Kuzmanovic Eliminates Duthweiler

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Boris Kuzmanovic raised to 6,000 from mid-position and action folded to Tobias Duthweiler in the big blind who put his whole stack of 500-value chips in worth around 16,000. Kuzmanovic called instantly.

Tobias Duthweiler: {q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Boris Kuzmanovic: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The flop came {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Diamonds} to give Duthweiler a gutshot to the straight draw.

The turn was the {a-Spades} to keep Kuzmanovic ahead and Duthweiler in need of the seven or six to stay alive.

The river completed the board with the {k-Clubs} to deal the final blow to Duthweiler as Kuzmanovic stayed ahead and now even hit a pair of kings to eliminate Duthweiler from Day 1A.

Laufer Joins the Big Stacks

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Itai Laufer was celebrating wildly after cracking the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} of an opponent with {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Aces on the flop and river of a {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{a-Hearts} run out meant that his 168,000 stack covered that of his opponent by under 10,000, and he moved up over 300,000 in chips.

He still has a long way to go to catch current chip leader Danilo Velasevic who sits on over 500,000.

Carrel Makes the Others Fold

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Martin Richter raised to 9,000 from mid-position and was called by Ismail Kalkan in the cutoff, Charlie Carrel on the button, and Simone Speranza in the small blind.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, everyone checked to Carrel who bet 13,000 which only Kalkan and Speranza called.

The turn was the {10-Hearts}, Speranza and Kalkan checked again. Carrel now barreled another bet of 40,000 and Speranza looked at his cards again before folding. Kalkan needed some more time, glanced at the board once more before showing the {a-Diamonds} and announcing the fold.

Itsenko Cracks Aces

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

It was all in preflop between Petr Zalsky with {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} and Valeriy Itsenko with {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Zalsky was short but looked set for a double. That was until the {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop gave him the nut straight.

The turn was the {q-Clubs} and the river the {5-Spades} and Zalsky was eliminated.

Also heading to the exit just short of the money is former chip leader Antonino Venneri.

Nedelcu Jumps into the Chip Lead

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Narcis-Gabriel Nedelcu raised from under the gun and Marcel Scherrer shoved for around 71,000 from the hijack. Asaf Turgeman did the same from the cutoff for about 35,000. Action folded back to Nedelcu who called to see all the cards go on their backs.

Asaf Turgeman: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Marcel Scherrer: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Narcis-Gabriel Nedelcu: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

The flop came {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades} for Scherrer to hit the gutshot straight draw.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} which kept Turgeman ahead to be able to triple up and would see Scherrer get eliminated in the end by Nedelcu.

"Or a five?" Nedelcu commented after some others shouted out extra outs for the players.

The dealer burned a card and dealt the {5-Clubs} on the river indeed for Scherrer and Turgeman to look at both the dealer and Nedelcu in amazement while they were eliminated before making the money.
