Vilmunen on Crumbs

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Tobias Peters was in the tank in the big blind facing an all-in shove from small blind Jani Vilmunen worth 610,000. Peters dropped in calling chips and tabled {a-Clubs}{5-Spades} and was up against {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. The {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop gave Peters nearly a lock on things, and the {j-Spades} turn made the river irrelevant.

Vilmunen got up to leave but Peters pointed out he had a covering stack, as Peters had only 475,000.

Faggiolli Almost Doubles Just Before the Break

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Carlos Branco raised to 55,000 from the hijack and Ugo Faggioli three-bet to 165,000 from the button. Action folded back to Branco who called.

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, Branco check-called the 155,000 continuation-bet of Faggioli.

They both checked through the {4-Diamonds} on the turn to the {4-Spades} on the river. Branco looked at Faggioli's stack and decided to bet 500,000. Faggioli considered his options as he had just over 600,000 behind and eventually made the call. Branco tabled {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for the pair of fours on the board with the ace-kicker for Faggioli to scoop the pot with {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for two pair, tens and fours.

The 25 remaining players have gone for another 20-minute break.
