Sterner Doubles Through Damaso

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Anton Wigg raised to 35,000 from under the gun and was called by Artem Kobylynskyi in the cutoff. Ludvig Sterner shoved from the button for 341,000 and so did Fabio Damaso in the small blind. Both Wigg and Kobylynskyi folded.

Ludvig Sterner: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Fabio Damaso: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for Sterner's pocket tens to hold and double him up.

Three-Way All-In Goes to Mette

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Armin Mette
Armin Mette

Armin Mette raised to 35,000 from the cutoff and was called by Maciej Rogacki on the button and Marcin Kreft in the big blind.

The flop came {4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, Kreft checked, Metter bet 45,000 which Rogacki called. Kreft now decided to shove for 199,000 in total. Mette also shoved for 340,000 in total and Rogacki snap-called,

Marcin Kreft: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Armin Mette: {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Maciej Rogacki: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Kreft and Mette had both flopped top pair with Mette holding the higher kicker while Rogacki had the overpair.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds} to give Mette two pair and have Kreft drawing dead. Rogacki needed an ace, six or four to have the higher two pair and eliminate both Mette and Kreft.

The river completed the board with the {8-Diamonds} for Mette to hold on to his lead and double up through Rogacki and take Kreft's last chips.

Holodiuk Eliminates Valiyev

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

All in and a call was shouted from Table 5, and Serhii Holodiuk had {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} in front of him under the gun, putting at risk Teymur Valiyev, who had {a-Spades}{2-Clubs} on the button. Valiyev got what he needed on the {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} flop but the {6-Clubs} turn killed his two pair and Holodiuk's kicker now played. The river was the {7-Hearts} and Valiyev sent over his last 100,000 or so.

Hecklen Eliminates Kazarian

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Gor Kazarian got his last 300,000 or so in the middle with {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} but he ran into a brutal spot since Henrik Hecklen woke up with {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} behind him. The {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} didn't offer much for Kazarian but he did find a {q-Hearts} on the turn. No river miracle though, as the {10-Clubs} completed the board.

Vicent Bosca was eliminated over on the other table in the meanwhile.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, Kobylynskyi bet 125,000 and Damaso called again.

They both checked through the {8-Clubs} on the turn to the {a-Diamonds}, Kobylynskyi checked again and Damaso took a few seconds before announcing a bet of 175,000. Kobylynskyi used his full 30 seconds before opting to fold.

Kazarian Doubles Through Merzhvinskiy

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy opened for 32,000 second to act and called the shove of Gor Kazarian, who jammed cutoff for 166,000. Kazarian had a dominating spot with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} against {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and the {4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board was no trouble for him.

Damaso Doubles Through Robovic

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Fabio Damaso caught Andrija Robovic bluffing for a decent-sized pot and then they played an even bigger one when Damaso opened cutoff to 32,000 and Robovic set him in from the big blind. Damaso quickly called it off with {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Robovic showed {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

The {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} left Robovic drawing all but dead. He did catch a snowman on the turn but the river was the {k-Spades}. Robovic sent over 491,000.

Pedersen Claims First Elimination for Today

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Vlada Stojanovic was all-in for his last 190,000 from the cutoff and was called by Simon Pedersen in the big blind.

Vlada Stojanovic: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Simon Pedersen: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{a-Spades} for Pedersen to hit top pair immediately.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds} for Stojanovic to have a glimmer of hope as any nine or ten would give Stojanovic the double-up but the {2-Diamonds} meant that Stojanovic was the first to leave the Main Event stage in 44th place for €17,540.

Immediately after, Pedersen picked up another pot where the board read {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} with over 300,000 in the middle already. Pedersen bet 80,000 from the small blind and Dimitrios Michailidis folded in the hijack. Pedersen is now sitting on a stack of around a million.
