Mette Eliminates Ruijs Before Break

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Joris Ruijs (L) and Tobias Peters
Joris Ruijs (L) and Tobias Peters

Diego Zeiter opened for 45,000 in middle position and Joris Ruijs jammed on the button for 410,000. Armin Mette rejammed in the big blind for 595,000. Zeiter got the count but folded.

"Ace-king please?" Ruijs said.

No such luck:

Joris Ruijs: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Armin Mette: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} board was sweat-free for Mette.

Players are now on break for 20 minutes.

Kobylynskyi Eliminates Sterner

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Ludvig Sterner
Ludvig Sterner

We didn't see how the action went down, but a flop of {6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} prompted big blind Ludvig Sterner to get his stack of 400,000 or so in there. Unfortunately for him, his {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} trailed the {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} of Artem Kobylynskyi and the {a-Diamonds} turn and {6-Diamonds} river kept the straight best.

Schuh's Kicked Out by Merzhvinskiy

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Michal Schuh
Michal Schuh

Michal Schuh shoved for around 360,000 and was called by Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy.

Michal Schuh: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{q-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{3-Spades} for Merzhvinskiy to hit the pair of aces on the flop immediately and improve to two pair on the turn to eliminate Schuh in 32nd place for €20,610.

MacNamara Eliminates Damaso

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Tomas MacNamara opened under the gun for 45,000 and Fabio Damaso made it 185,000 in the big blind. MacNamara jammed for about 800,000 effective and Damaso seemed to be leaning to a call, holding a chip and pump-faking into the pot several times. Finally, he did drop it in.

Fabio Damaso: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Tomas MacNamara: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{k-Hearts} flop left Damaso with almost not equity and he stood up to exit, with the {5-Hearts} turn confirming he was finished.

Grochulski Gone Thanks to Michaelis

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Grzegorz Grochulski
Grzegorz Grochulski

Grzegorz Grochulski shoved from under the gun for 70,000 and Paul Michaelis three-bet to 120,000 from mid-position. The rest of the table quickly folded.

Grzegorz Grochulski: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Paul Michaelis: {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

The flop came {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for Michaelis to stay ahead but the {10-Diamonds} on the turn gave Grochulski the pair of tens. However, it also gave Michaelis the flush draw which he hit on the river when the {4-Diamonds} came. Grochulski was eliminated in 34th place for €20,610.
