The Jiang's Are Thriving; Fatehi Busts One

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Sosia Jiang sits next to Ali Reza Fatehi and has been able to build her stack. Two tables over in the same row, her brother Honglin Jiang has also been able to boost his stack. Fatehi sent Ouri Cohen to the rail, having called a raise with four-seven suited and flopping two pair, then turning a full house to best the pocket queens of Cohen.

Salter Doubles Through Kiletto

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

In a three-bet pot to the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, Jack Salter bet 8,400 into a pot of almost 30,000 out of the big blind and Lily Kiletto moved all in. Salter used one time bank extension and called it off.

Jack Salter: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Lily Kiletto: {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The {10-Diamonds} turn took away some outs for Salter, but he got there on the {K-Spades} river to double and almost evened out the stacks of both.

Haneberg and Voinea Bust Opponents

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Andre Haneberg has moved up further in the pecking order and sent Samir Moukawem to the rail. On the {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} turn, Moukawem bet and Haneberg called before the {J-Spades} on the river brought a bet of 10,000 by Moukawem. Haneberg raised enough to put his opponent all in and Moukawem called with {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, then threw his cards into the muck in disgust after Haneberg had flipped over {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} for the better two pair on the river.

Samuel Kiourktchian has also been eliminated, sending over his stack of around 25,000 to table neighbour Ionut-Flavius Voinea. In the showdown, Kiourktchian turned over {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Voinea had the dominating {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}, the board came {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and the kicker played.

Fernandez Alonso Runs Riot Early On

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Javier_Fernandez_Alonso
Javier_Fernandez_Alonso

After starting the day in the middle of the pack, Javier Fernandez Alonso has taken over the lead after more than doubling up his stack and sending at least two opponents to the rail. His second victim was Julian Stuer, who paid off the three barrels of the Spaniard with {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} versus {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} on a board of {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

Just now, Fernandez Alonso check-called a bet of 12,500 on the {J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} turn and checked the {2-Hearts} river. His opponent checked behind and was shown the {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}.

"What do you expect?" Stefan Huber joked and several other players at the table could all but laugh, having witnessed the hot run from a close distance.

Toma Barrels Yaroshevskyy Off

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Tsugunari Toma
Tsugunari Toma

High roller aficionados Tsugunari Toma and Igor Yaroshevskyy are two charismatic standouts at the poker tables and both of them locked horns in the first of what could be many clashes today. On a {5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop, Yaroshevskky check-called 4,200 from the big blind against Toma's late position bet.

Toma kept on the aggression with a bet of 8,000 on the {K-Diamonds} turn, which Yaroshevkyy once again called. The river paired the board with the {2-Spades} and Toma blasted 21,000 in. That was too much for Yaroshevkyy, who flicked his hand in the muck.

Wheeler Gets Big; Busts Drozd

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Jason Wheeler
Jason Wheeler

Jason Wheeler made it 3,500 to go and Ondrej Drozd three-bet to 8,000, which Wheeler called. On the {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, Wheeler check-called 7,000 and check-raised all in after the {Q-Spades} turn. Drozd had some 60,000 behind and called with pocket kings only to find himself with just two outs left as Wheeler showed deuces for the set. The {3-Clubs} river was a blank and Drozd busted earlier on, while Wheeler joined the big stacks.
