Di Giorgio Busts to Kerignard

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Andre Haneberg raised and short stack Armando Di Giorgio just flat-called on the button. Yorane Kerignard moved all in from the big blind and Haneberg folded, Di Giorgio called it off with his short stack.

Armando Di Giorgio: {A-Spades}{5-Spades}
Yorane Kerignard: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The board came {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} and that was it for the Italian. "I had ace seven," Haneberg said with a smile on the face.

Danchev Busts Trofimov

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The cards were all but rushed away while Dragos Trofimov shook hands with table neighbor Dimitar Danchev, the board of {K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} still showing. Trofimov had shoved all in for just 23,000 with queen-ten and Danchev's ace-queen remained the best hand after all community cards were dealt.

Peters Clips Reeves, Claims Chip Lead

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
David Peters
David Peters

In one of the final hands of the day, David Peters claimed the overall chip lead in a big hand against Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves in a clash between high stakes giants that left the latter biting the dust. A sizable pot was already created after David Peters had three-bet an open to 18,000. Behind him, Reeves four-bet to 44,000, the initial raiser folded and and Peters called.

Both the {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop and {10-Diamonds} turn went check/check. The {A-Hearts} on the river, however, made things interesting as Peters overbet shoved all in, effectively putting Reeves to a decision for all of his remaining 153,500 in chips.

It was a tough spot for Reeves, who burned two of his timebank chips before slapping in a call. Peters quickly showed {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for aces up, Reeves mucked his hand but was forced to show his {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

With the pot, Peters moved up to over 600,000 in chips and claimed the overall chip lead as the day drew to a close.

Lascar and Lampropulos Bust to End Day 2

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Maria Lampropulos
Maria Lampropulos

The field has been reduced to just 120 hopefuls and thus the clocks have been stopped to bag and tag nine players away from the money as previously announced by the tournament floor.

The last two casualties were David Lascar and Maria Lampropulos, who were ousted on neighboring tables at almost the same time.

First it was Lascar that open-shoved for 26,000 first to act and Jason Wheeler in the big blind used his last two remaining time bank extensions before making the call.

David Lascar: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Jason Wheeler: {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{K-Clubs} and Lascar headed to the rail.

Lampropulos raised to 7,500 and was called by two-time WSOP Main Event finalist Antoine Saout in the big blind. Saout bet the {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} flop for 8,000 and Lampropulos called. After the {Q-Clubs} turn, Saout bet 16,000 and Lampropulos shoved for what appeared tobe 40,000, the instant call of Saout followed.

Maria Lampropulos: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Antoine Saout: {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

Only a jack could help 2018 PCA champion Lampropulos, but instead it was the blank {10-Diamonds} that fell on the river to end Day 2 with 120 players remaining.
