[Removed:433] Doubles Through Petruzzelli

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Federico Petruzzelli jammed in the small blind for 207,000 effective and [Removed:432] snapped in the big with {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. He was miles ahead of {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and the {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} looked sweat-free. However, a {9-Clubs} did fall on the turn. The river brought the {q-Diamonds}, no help to Petruzzelli, and he shipped a double to his neighbor.

Thomas Pettersson Eliminated in 24th Place (€20,300)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Thomas Pettersson
Thomas Pettersson

A short-stacked Andre Akkari shoved 160,000 in early position. An even shorter Thomas Pettersson called all in for 96,000 from the small blind. Josip Simunic asked for a count then called from the big blind, putting both players at risk.

Thomas Pettersson: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Andre Akkari: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Josip Simunic: {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} to give Simunic a flush draw and potential to knock both players out. The turn {9-Clubs} gave even more outs, but the {2-Hearts} on the river wasn't one of them.

Pettersson was the first out after the redraw and went to the payout desk to collect €20,300.

Jiang Takes from [Removed:433]

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

After having doubled just a few minutes ago, [Removed:432] gave away pretty much all of those chips again in a hand with Honglin Jiang. The latter had defended his big blind and bet the {J-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{J-Clubs} turn for 55,000, [Removed:433] called. On the {3-Diamonds} river, Jiang bet 125,000 and [Removed:433] quickly called.

Jiang rolled over {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a full house and [Removed:433] mucked.

Antonius Lays Down Top Pair

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Patrik Antonius
Patrik Antonius

Adrian Mateos raised to 35,000 from under the gun with {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}, Stefan Huber called {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} from the hijack and Patrik Antonius called {K-Spades}{J-Hearts} from the big blind.

The flop was {J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Mateos continued for 65,000. Huber folded and Antonius called. On the {2-Hearts} turn, Mateos fired 180,000 and Antonius called a second street.

The {8-Diamonds} on the river gave Mateos the checkmark and Antonius checked. Mateos opted for a bet of 400,000 and Antonius went deep in the tank. The shot clock counted down the seconds and Antonius eventually folded after burning through all of his remaining timebank cards.

"I don't know how I folded that hand. How do I fold?" Antonius questioned his own decision after the hand. With the stream on a 30-minute delay, Antonius will know in half an hour the fold was correct.

Tomas Jozonis checked a completed board in the big blind on {7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades}. Alexis Fleur was under the gun and bet 110,000. Jozonis raised all in for Fleur's last 225,000.

Fleur went deep into the tank and used four time extensions. Eventually, he called. Jozonis turned over {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Fleur nodded and tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} before heading to payouts.

Massive Double for Gyorgyi Results in Wild Celebration

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Krisztian Gyorgyi
Krisztian Gyorgyi

Over on one of the outer tables, Dan Abouaf raised to 32,000 and was called by Federico Petruzzelli from one seat over and Krisztian Gyorgyi in the big blind. On a flop of {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{K-Spades}, action checked to Abouaf and he continued for 26,000. Petruzzelli called beore Gyorgyi check-raised to 140,000. That forced a fold from Abouaf while Petruzzelli called.

On the {2-Hearts} turn, Gyorgyi bet 200,000 with 427,000 behind and Petruzzelli moved all in, the Hungarian called.

Krisztian Gyorgyi: {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Federico Petruzzelli: {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Gyorgyi was in need of help and required the board to pair or to hit a four. And he did so by spiking the {4-Hearts} on the river, to skyrocket out of his chair and run through half of the tournament room in wild celebration, screaming out his excitement in Hungarian. When he returned to the table and saw the cameras on him, he continued to shout in his native language while slowly someone in the room started clapping. Gyorgyi turned around and started clapping himself, and most of the room joined in.
