Saleh Doubles Through Demirdjian

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Sadri Saleh shoved all in for about 130,000 in the cutoff, and Mark Demirdjian called on the button.

Sadri Saleh: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Mark Demirdjian: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The {q-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Clubs} paired Saleh for the lead. He got a sweat when the {9-Clubs} gave his opponent a gutshot but the {k-Spades} river was a brick.

Peters and Jozonis at the Top; Chaieb Doubles

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

David Peters raised from the button to 23,000 and was called by [Removed:432] in the big blind. [Removed:433] bet the {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop for 27,000 and Peters called. Both checked the {10-Clubs} turn and the {7-Hearts} river and [Removed:433] showed the {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, Peters had the slightly superior {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}.

Tomas Jozonis pushed from the small blind into the big blind of short stack Ali Chaieb, who called for 97,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Jozonis had the {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and the board came {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. It was a small dent into the big stack of Jozonis, who got the chips back almost right away.

Jozonis opened to 22,000 in the cutoff and Philipp Gruissem in the small blind three-bet to 77,000. Jozonis asked to see the stack of the German and moved all in, Gruissem quickly sent his cards into the muck.

Jozonis Eliminates Miller in Massive Hand

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Gary Miller
Gary Miller

Tomas Jozonis opened under the gun and called a three-bet to 82,000 from Gary Miller, who was on the button. The flop came {4-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Jozonis check-called 64,000. He check-called 115,000 more on the {5-Clubs} turn and the river was a {6-Diamonds}. Jozonis checked a final time.

Miller bet 257,000 and Jozonis announced all in after burning through a time extension. Miller took awhile to think, firing in three extensions. Eventually, he called off his last 425,000, but {a-}{k-} was no good against {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for a flopped set.

With the massive pot, Jozonis is now the new chipleader of the EPT Main Event with over 2 million in chips.

Ekrem Sanioglu
Ekrem Sanioglu

With the board reading {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, Ekrem Sanioglu shoved all in for 109,000 in the big blind. Davor Lanini got the count and made the call. Sanioglu shook his head and stood up, slapping {k-Hearts}{3-Spades} on the table. Lanini had him crushed with {k-Clubs}{10-Spades} and the river was a harmless {2-Clubs}.

No Short Stack Miracle for Kerignard

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Yorane Kerignard started the day as one of the shortest stacks in the room and wasn't able to spin up from it. With 60,000 left, Kerignard shoved {10-Clubs}{7-Spades} from under the gun and everyone folded. The next hand, Kerignard opted to fold {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} against an under the gun shove from Danut Chisu, putting him at 65,000.

A couple of hands later, Andre Akkari raised to 21,000 and Kerignard stuck his 65,000 in on the button, which Akkari called quickly.

Yorane Kerignard: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Andre Akkari: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

Kerignard whiffed the {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop but picked up some additional outs on the {8-Diamonds} turn. The {Q-Hearts} on the river wasn't one of those outs and Kerignard finished 39th. He was the first to make the payjump to €15,400.

Chisu First One Out on Feature Table

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Danut Chisu & Javier Fernandez Alonso
Danut Chisu & Javier Fernandez Alonso

Earlier, Danut Chisu defended his big blind with {J-Hearts}{5-Hearts} against an under the gun open from Javier Fernandez Alonso with {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, then Chisu check-folded a ten-high flop to leave him with 9 bb.

Chisu then shoved {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} for 86,000 all in from under the gun. Everyone folded, including Yorane Kerignard in the big blind with {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

Shortly after, it did end for the Romanian film director. After Javier Fernandez Alonso had raised from under the gun, Chisu reshoved from the big blind for 111,000 and Fernandez instantly called.

Danut Chisu: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Javier Fernandez: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

There was no help for Chisu on the {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} flop, and the {Q-Hearts} on the turn left him drawing to the kings instead.

"One king," Chisu said, circling his finger at the table as he were to summon it from the deck. The magic remained unanswered; the dealer slapped the {7-Diamonds} on the board to send out Chisu in 41st place.

More for Peters and Jozonis

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

David Peters faced a check-raise to 105,000 by Antoine Saout on the {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop and moved all in to force a fold. One hand later, Peters opened to 23,000 and Dimitar Danchev's three-bet to 70,000 on the button won the pot.

Tomas Jozonis took a big chunk off table neighbor Ali Chaieb. On the rail end of a board {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, Jozonis check-raised from 34,000 to 130,000 and Chaieb called. Jozonis rolled over {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} for a full house and left Chaieb short in chips.

Petruzzelli Eliminates Panyak

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Maxim Panyak
Maxim Panyak

Just after the previous bustout, another all in and call was heard at another table. It appeared Maxim Panyak had shoved for about 200,000 over an under-the-gun open from Federico Petruzzelli, but the latter had {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} to dominate {a-}{q-}. The {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} board meant it was over before the {3-Hearts} river even hit.
