Khangah Busts Greenwood in Biggest Pot so Far

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Lucas Greenwood
Lucas Greenwood

The action started with a limp from Ahadpur Khangah in early position, who even initially just put in 4,000. From two seats over, Luc Greenwood raised to 25,000 and Khangah called. The flop came {5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} and Khangah checked over to Greenwood, who made it 25,000 to go.

Within just one second, Khangah had already check-raised to 145,000 and Greenwood asked for a count. He then took 25 seconds and moved all in for 550,000.

"All in?" Khangah asked over to his opponent, and once that was confirmed, he said "I call."

Luc Greenwood: {A-Spades}{6-Spades}
Ahadpur Khangah: {A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

Greenwood had plenty of outs with the nut flush draw and the better straight draw, but the {8-Diamonds} turn and {4-Diamonds} river run out failed to improve the Canadian, further boosting Khangah's big stack.

Smith and Zinno Latest to Bust

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

Dan Smith opened to 16,000 in the cutoff and Matthias Eibinger three-bet to 44,000 from the button. Smith then moved all in for 190,000 and Eibinger called.

Matthias Eibinger: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Dan Smith: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Smith was eliminated.

Meanwhile, Anthony Zinno limp-jammed {a-}{k-} into the {7-}{7-} of Seth Davies for 300,000. There was no help for Zinno and a seven on the river meant Davies' set sent his opponent to the rail.

Winter Doubles Through Greenwood

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Three players saw a flop of {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Sean Winter bet 12,000 and got calls from both Ahadpur Khangah and Luc Greenwood.

The turn {a-Clubs} was checked around and the river was the {6-Diamonds}. Winter bet 54,000, leaving himself just 50,000 behind. Khangah folded but Greenwood called.

Winter showed {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for a full house and took down the pot.

Thorel Busts Loeliger; Eibinger Sends Soyza Out

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Linus Loeliger
Linus Loeliger

After defending his big blind against a raise by Jean-Noel Thorel, Linus Loeliger bet the {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} turn for 50,000 and Thorel raised to 100,000 in early position. Loeliger moved all in for what appeared to be 170,000 and Thorel called instantly.

Linus Loeliger: {K-Spades}{7-Spades}
Jean-Noel Thorel: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Loeliger needed a king or seven to avoid the elimination, but the river was the {2-Diamonds} to end the run of the Swiss.

At almost the same time, Michael Soyza departed from table one. According to Matthias Eibinger, Soyza defended his big blind and check-shoved a {10-Clubs}{7-}{6-Clubs} flop with {7-}{5-} for middle pair. Eibinger called with {Q-Clubs}{10-} and two blanks followed on turn and river.

Katz Doubles Through Greenwood

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Luc Greenwood raised to 18,000 and Cary Katz moved all in from one seat over for 135,000. With the action back on Greenwood, the Canadian said "I think I have to call."

"You don't want to make a bad call," Katz replied and Greenwood laughed while adding "that's a good point."

Greenwood used one time bank and Katz asked him "What do you have? Maybe I can help."

Greenwood replied that he had a pair and called just before the clock ran down to zero.

Cary Katz: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Luc Greenwood: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

Katz immediately flopped a set on {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{9-Spades}, and the {9-Clubs} turn and {6-Hearts} river were a rub down for Greenwood as he made the meaningless inferior full house eventually.

Doubles for Loeliger and Badziakouski

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Linus Loeliger got his last 76,000 in with {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} against the {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} of Sergio Aido.

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}{a-Diamonds} with Loeliger getting to his feet before the ace hit on the river to save him and double him up.

Meanwhile, Mikita Badziakouski had raised to 21,000 and Timothy Adams three-bet to 69,000. Badziakouski called and the flop came {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

Adams continued for 38,000 and Badziakouski raised to 100,000. Adams used a time extension before putting Badziakouski all in. He called.

Mikita Badziakouski: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Timothy Adams: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Badziakouski was at risk, but was saved almost instantly as the {a-Spades} came on the turn. The river brought the {3-Hearts} and Badziakouski doubled his 321,000 stack.

Leow Eliminated by Khangah

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Ivan Leow
Ivan Leow

Sean Winter limped in and Steffen Sontheimer in the cutoff made it 27,000 to go. Ahadpur Khangah in the small blind called and Ivan Leow then three-bet to 110,000. This forced out Winter and Sontheimer, while Khangah called.

On a flop of {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Khangah checked his option and Leow bet 60,000 with 84,000 behind. Khangah snap-moved all in and Leow checked his remaining stack, glanced over his shoulder to look at the screen and called all in.

Ivan Leow: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Ahadpur Khangah: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The {8-Spades} turn and {10-Clubs} river brought no miracle for Leow and he was eliminated.

Davies Recovers Some Early Losses

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Sergio Aido has more than doubled up since re-entering at the start of Day 2 while Seth Davies on the same table lost a few chips. Just now, Davies in the big blind was involved in a hand with Stephen Chidwick in the cutoff and check-raised a flop of {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades} from 15,000 to 55,000. Chidwick called and the {K-Hearts} appeared on the turn.

Davies used one time bank and checked, Chidwick bet 40,000 and Davies called. Both players checked through on the {6-Diamonds} river and Davies flipped over {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts} for the straight, which won the pot.
