Pollak Eliminated by Soyza

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Benjamin Pollak
Benjamin Pollak

Benjamin Pollak has tasted success this trip; cashing in the €100k Super High Roller and winning the €50k Single-Day High Roller, and he has added a cash here in the final €10k of the trip.

Michael Soyza opened to 22,000 from the cutoff and Pollak defended his big blind.

Pollak check-called 15,000 on the {3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop and the turn was a {j-}. Pollak checked again and Soyza bet 30,000. Pollak then check-raised all in for 90,000 and Soyza called.

Benjamin Pollak: {6-}{7-}
Michael Soyza: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Pollak had been caught bluffing and needed a five and only a five to save him on the river. The {k-Diamonds} only helped Soyza, and Pollak was eliminated.

Mateos Busts Chidwick

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick moved all in for a remaining stack around 60,000 and Adrian Mateos reshoved for a slightly bigger stack. Dimitar Yosifov called from the blinds and the three players tabled their cards:

Stephen Chidwick: {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Adrian Mateos: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Dimitar Yosifov: {k-}{10-}

The board brought {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, giving Yosifov a pair of tens on the flop, but also giving a pair of aces on the turn to Mateos who eliminated Chidwick and is now up to a stack of 195,000.

The flop showed {7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts} when Juan Pardo checked from the big blind. James Romero bet 20,000 under the gun and Gianluca Speranza made the call. After some thought, Pardo moved all in for 111,000 and it was enough to win the pot.

Hajiyev Makes Quads on Eibinger

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

According to the table, a first player opened from the cutoff and Rustam Hajiyev called on the button. Matthias Eibinger moved all in for a stack worth 146,000 in the blinds and only Hajiyev called.

Eibinger, holding {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, was in good shape for a double, facing {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} in Hajiyev's hand, but a board {2-}{2-}{10-}{x-}{10-Clubs} gave quads tens to Hajiyev who busted Eibinger from the tournament.

Chips for Farrell; Double for Ligeri

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On a {3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades} Julien Sitbon check-called a bet of 65,000 from Niall Farrell and was shown {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Sitbon tapped the table before mucking.

Meanwhile Justin Ligeri was all in with {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for his last 155,000. Aaron Lim held {a-Spades}{3-Clubs} but the {q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades}{j-Hearts} board gave Ligeri the double up.
