More for Dowling and Tsang

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Chris Downling bet 60,000 out of the big blind with the turn showing {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{A-Spades}{5-Spades} and Laszlo Bujtas called on the button. The {7-Diamonds} fell on the river and Dowling bet 100,000. Bujtas had fewer chips than that behind and folded.

Over on table three, Felix Stephensen, Cord Garcia and Anson Tsang invested 15,000 each. They checked it down until the {Q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{J-Hearts} turn and action checked to Garcia on the {2-Spades} river. He bet 25,000 and Tsang was the only caller. Garcia mucked and Tsang claimed the pot without having to show his cards.

"Disaster" for Katz

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

On the turn of {9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}, Panagiotis Sotiriadis bet 18,500 into a pot of 30,000 and Cary Katz called. The {6-Clubs} fell on the river and Sotiriadis bet 40,000, which Katz called.

Sotiriadis rolled over {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for a full house and Katz sighed "disaster, I had a straight." In table chat he later mentioned to have had {K-}{K-}{7-}{3-}.

Jean-Noel Thorel

With the turn showing {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}, Jean-Noel Thorel bet the pot for 44,500 in the big blind and Chris Dowling in the cutoff raised the pot. Thorel moved all in and Dowling snap-called.

"They have the same hand, who has the freeroll?" Cary Katz asked in table chat.

Jean-Noel Thorel: {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{2-Spades}
Chris Dowling: {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

Both had redraws to a flush and Dowling was the one that got there thanks to the {8-Clubs} on the river, sending Thorel to the rail in cruel fashion.

The cards were already rushed away and the seat that was formerly occupied by Ryan Riess showed empty. Cord Garcia and Seamus Cahill confirmed what had happened.

Riess got his short stack in with pocket kings and a suit to face the {A-}{10-}{8-}{7-} of Cahill, who flopped an ace on the turn to eliminate Riess.

Akhundov Gets Value From Shak

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

On the river of a board {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, Dan Shak bet 20,000 into a pot of around 50,000 and Murad Akhundov raised it up to 55,000. Shak was taken aback and said in table chat "why don't you want to get more value?" He didn't get an answer and eventually called.

Akhundov showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a flush and Shak mucked {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Furthermore, Felix Stephensen doubled his short stack to remain in contention over on table three.

In a multi-way limped pot the flop showed {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and action checked to Cord Garcia, who bet 20,000. Seamus Cahill raised it up to 80,000 and that forced out Felix Stephensen. Garcia moved all in for 149,500 and Cahill called.

Cord Garcia: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Seamus Cahill: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

The board completed with the {9-Hearts} turn and {5-Diamonds} river, allowing Garcia to double.

Shyngis Satubayev also doubled, for the second time in quick succession. On a flop of {J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, Samuli Sipila raised the pot when Satubayev had bet 10,000 and Satubayev called all in for 69,000.

Shyngis Satubaev: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Samuli Sipila: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}
