Team PokerStars Pro Maria Konnikova has just seen her deep run the EPT National High Roller come to an end after Jack Salter's holding dominated her hand.

Salter informed us of the action as he stacked up his new 3.3m stack. Salter raised to 85,000 from early position and Konnikova three-bet to 260,000 in the next seat. With the action back on Salter, he moved all in, and Konnikova put her tournament life on the line and called.

Maria Konnikova: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Board: {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Five Tables Remain

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

After a period of slow action without any all in and call every 30 seconds, the pace has picked up again and Natalie Teh, Fuad Serhan and Zorlucan Er have all been eliminated.

Er turned a set with the {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} only for Tolga Can Kiyak to improve to a straight with the very same card, holding the {J-Spades}{10-Spades} on a board of {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

As a result, there are only 39 players remaining spread over five tables.

Virlanuta Over Four Million; Camosci Eliminated

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Marian Virlanuta
Marian Virlanuta

Enrico Camosci has just departed from the field, and Marian Virlanuta has reclaimed the chip lead after the former got all his chips into the middle preflop.

A player at table retold the action and said that Camosci raised from middle position and saw Marian Virlanuta three-bet from the small blind. Camosci proceeded to move all in and Virlanuta snap-called.

Camosci held {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and was a big favorite for elimination when he saw Virlanuta reveal {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. The board came down {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and improved Virlanuta's hand to a full house, and moved him over the 4m chip mark in the process as Camosci departed to the payout booth.

Aristov Douvles Through Serricchio

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Sergey Aristov
Sergey Aristov

Down to his last 225,000, Sergey Aristov was all in and at risk over on table one and turned over the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. He faced the {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} of Luigi Serricchio and spiked the {K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop to improve. The {6-Hearts} turn and {4-Diamonds} river changed nothing anymore and Aristov doubled.

Flush Over Set Eliminates Palvini

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Jeremy Palvini raised from under the gun to 65,000 and saw Marian Virlanuta three-bet from two seats along to 165,000. Sergi Escote, who just the hand before had lost a big pot to Virlanuta, moved all in for 900,000 from the next seat. The action folded back around to Palvini, and he called for his last 650,000.

Virlanuta went into the tank and was unsure of what to do before he very reluctantly folded before Palvini and Escote revealed their hands.

Jeremy Palvini: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Sergi Escote: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}

Board: {2-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Spades}

Palvini was in a horrible spot when he saw his pocket kings run into pocket aces but immediately got joy on the flop when he hit one of his two immediate outs for top set. However, Escote picked up the nut flush draw in the process and fist punched the air when the turn {q-Spades} hit to put him back in the lead, and the fifth spade of the river cemented the pot in his favor.

Palvini disappointedly walked away from the table but collects €8,100 for his efforts.
