Okada Doubles Through Greenwood

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Luc Greenwood opened to 7,000 on the button and Ken Okada reraised all in from the small blind for 97,000. Greenwood thought about it for a minute and made the call to create the following showdown:

Luc Greenwood: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Ken Okada: {q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Greenwood had the best hand but the {q-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts} run out gave Okada a pair of queens as well as the double up.

Deeb Keeps Climbing

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Shaun Deeb opened the action with a raise worth 6,500 in middle position and only Salem Cherrati in the big blind came along with a call.

The flop went {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Cherrati check-called Deeb's continuation bet for 7,000.

The {5-Diamonds} on the turn got checked by both players, as was the {4-Clubs} on the river. Cherrati revealed {q-Spades}{4-Spades} for a pair of fours but mucked his hand after Deeb showed {7-Spades}{9-Spades} for a better pair.

Friberg Runs Into Kings

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The action was opened with a raise to 7,000 from the player under the gun, and Erik Friberg called in the hijack. When the action was on Javier Fernandez Alonso in the small blind he three-bet to 31,500. The initial raiser thought for a minute but ultimately folded and the decision was back on Friberg.

"Watch out we are close to the bubble," said Fernandez Alonso after Friberg had taken 30 seconds to think, and another 20 seconds pasted before Friberg responded.

"You are right; we are close to the bubble."

The clock was then called on Friberg by another player at the table and when he was given just 30 more seconds to act he moved all in and was snap-called.

Fernandez Alonso tabled {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}, and Friberg was at risk with {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. The board came down {3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, and Friberg was sent to the rail short of the money places as Fernandez Alonso moved up to 410,000.

Dimitrios Angelakos: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Renjun Yang: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
