Over on the feature table, Stefan Jedlicka raised to 100,000 from the late position with and Martin Czuczor found in the small blind. Czuczor three-bet to 400,000 for Cyril Monbrun-Massot to fold his big blind. Jedlicka contemplated for a bit and then made the call.

Alexander Ivarsson opened to 100,000 from the cutoff and Jerry Odeen three-bet to 325,000 from the button. Action folded back to Ivarsson who stuck around with a call.

The flop fell and Ivarsson checked. Odeen bet 150,000 and Ivarsson check-raised to 475,000. Odeen took a few seconds of reflection then added the remainder to call.

The turn came the and was checked through to the river. Ivarsson moved all in for about 3,650,000 and Odeen, with 1,125,000 behind went deep into the tank for a few minutes before making the call.

Ivarsson tabled for nines full of fours and Odeen showed for ace-high before heading to the exit in 22nd place for €52,070.

Yunye Lu raised to 100,000 in middle position and Bartlomiej Machon three-bet to 660,000 on the button, leaving himself with 25,000 behind. Lu quickly four-bet shoved all in and Machon, on a payjump bubble, took his time.

With the dust from the big Odeen-Ivarsson hand yet to settle down and a quiet TV table, it became clear that there wasn't much other action to wait on. Machon then flicked in the extra chips to bring the hand to showdown.

A flop reading was dealt and Mouawad bet 500,000. Braco responded by moving all in for about 1,600,000 and Mouawad thought for a long while, but then opted to fold.

PSPC 2020: Danielle Summer’s Place in the Sun

Danielle Summer was certain. She would be back in Barcelona in 2020. She just knew it.

“I totally believed that I was going to win the €10,000, and the only way I could get here was by believing I was going to do it,” Summer said. “In all the pre-interviews, I said to everyone I’m definitely coming back next year. And everyone’s looked at me thinking, ‘Is she mad?’”

More likely, they figured she was the type of player who was determined to do her best when it came to achieving her goal. In this case, to chase her dream and win €10,000.

“It was a bit strange,” she said, admitting to some nerves at the start before getting comfortable at the table. “I thought I played the best I could play in that situation.”

Shorr Doubles Through Haxton

On the feature table, Shannon Shorr raised to 250,000 from the cutoff with , leaving himself behind with 10,000 and got no action.

The hand after, he did it again from the hijack with raising to 400,000 this time and keeping 10,000 behind. He got no action this time either.

Two hands later, he raised to 500,000 from under the gun, leaving 60,000 behind. Isaac Haxton was up next to act and then decided to shove for 835,000. Simon Brandstrom found in the hijack and asked for a count. Brandstrom contemplated for a bit and then decided to let the nines go. The rest of the table quickly folded and Shorr called for 560,000 in total after tanking for a bit.
