Gretsch Eliminated by Ivanov

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Roger Gretsch pushed for 34,000 and Aliaksei Ivanov called in the hijack while the rest of the table folded.

Roger Gretsch: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Aliaksei Ivanov: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop gave Ivanov a gutshot, the {a-Diamonds} turn and {10-Diamonds} river that followed made that two pair.

Small Setback for Camarda

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Salvatore Camarda checked the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} flop in the small blind and Tuomas Antero Roeppaenen bet 10,000 in the big blind. The {4-Spades} turn was checked and Camarda reluctantly check-called a bet of 18,000 by Roeppaenen on the {5-Diamonds} river. He was shown the {a-Diamonds}{3-Spades} by the Finn and that won the pot.

Meyer Near the Top

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Friedrich Meyer
Friedrich Meyer

Friedrich Meyer was down to 31,000 in the last break but the German has since skyrocketed near the top of the leaderboard.

In the most recent hand, Max Deveson got his stack of more than 120,000 in pre with queens and Meyer called with the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. The board came {4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and the aces held up to send Deveson to the rail.

"I had a set of queens, set of jacks and won with kings since the last break," Meyer said while he was busy stacking the chips.

Bercovici Takes a Big Hit

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Michel D’Vallade
Michel D’Vallade

There were some 70,000 in the middle to the {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{2-Clubs}{q-Hearts} turn when Michel D'Vallade had splashed in her chips as they fell over, and she confirmed to have called the shove of Lee Bercovici.

Michel D'Vallade: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Lee Bercovici: {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

The {j-Hearts} river paired the board and D'Vallade doubled for 89,000, leaving Bercovici on the starting stack and a mountain to climb.

A Double for Garcia

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Jorge Diego Garcia faced the open shove of the small blind and stood his ground for the last 34,500 in the big blind with the {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. The small blind only had {q-Clubs}{10-Spades} and the {5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades} board kept king-high in the lead.

Tach Falls to Leinonen

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Farukh Tach moved all in for his last 20,000 from the button and Juhana Leinonen made the call from the big blind.

Farukh Tach: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Juhana Leinonen: {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Leinonen hit a pretty favorable flop of {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. The {6-Spades} and {5-Spades} filled up the board and Leinonen took down the pot and sent Tach to the exit.
