Soyza Loses Chunk to Koplimaa

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Michael Soyza raised to 130,000 from under the gun and Markku Koplimaa three-bet to 430,000 in the cutoff after checking out Soyza's stack. Action folded back to Soyza who made the call.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, Soyza check-called the 240,000 continuation-bet of Koplimaa.

They both checked through the {q-Clubs} on the turn to the {10-Spades} on the river. Soyza bet 300,000 and Koplimaa raised to 1,100,000. Soyza contemplated his options for a while and then made the call. Koplimaa tabled {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for the flopped two pair and that was enough to make Soyza muck his hand.
