Martino Raises the Turn

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

The {q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop was already on the table and small blind Fiodor Martino checked his option. Zhong Chen fired a bet of 1,000 and he was called by Martino.

The turn was the {j-Diamonds} and Martino checked again but with a different plan in mind. Chen continued with a bet of 1,200 but Martino raised to 4,700.

That was too much for Chen as he laid his hand down after looking at it for the last time.

Turner Eliminated by Chan

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

The {k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} board was on the table and there was over 20,000 in the middle when Jon Turner checked from the big blind. Kian Bing Chan bet 9,000 from the cutoff and it was on Turner again. He three-bet all in when he put his last 28,300 in front of him and he was called by Chan.

Jon Turner: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Kian Bing Chan: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The river was the {10-Diamonds} which awarded the pot to Chan after he hit a flush on the river.

Lecardonnel Makes the Wrong Call

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

€550 CEP champion Fabien Lecardonnel will not be adding to the €110,000 score he made last week as he just busted the first starting day of the EPT National High Roller. It was George Wolff who put Lecardonnel to the test for his last 17,000 on a {k-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board in a big blind versus button clash.

Lecardonnel ended up calling with {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} after minutes of thought, only to be shown the bad news by Wolff who tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} to eliminate the Frenchman.

Boskovic and Roovers Chop

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Marko Boskovic raised from the hijack to 1,200 and he was called by small blind Mark Roovers and the player in the big blind. The {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop was dealt and it checked to Boskovic who continued with a bet of 1,400. Roovers called and the third player got out of the way. The {4-Clubs} turn card showed up after and they both checked.

The {10-Hearts} completed the board on the river and Roovers led out on this street with a bet of 3,800. He was called by Boskovic and both retrieved their own chips after Roovers showed {a-Spades}{2-Spades} and Boskovic showed {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

Both chopped with a straight and you know what they say, everyone loves a chop pot.
