More Chips for Vieira

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{a-Spades}, Joao Vieira bet 6,700 from middle position. Michael Soyza was his only opponent in the hand and he called from the button.

The river was the {7-Spades} and Vieira dropped in another bet of 17,000. Soyza quickly called and Vieira turned over {a-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the best hand. As one of the latest entries in the day thus far, Vieira has made quick work of his short time at the table, pushing Isaac Haxton for the chip lead.

Three Sixes for Seidel

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

The action folded to Erik Seidel on the button who made it 1,400 to go. George Wolff quickly re-raised to 5,200 from the big blind and Seidel called. The flop came {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and both players checked through to the {9-Diamonds} on the turn, as well as the {6-Spades} on the river.

Wolff checked one more time but Seidel finally stuck in a bet of 7,500. Wolff looked perplexed and was curious enough to make the call. Seidel turned over {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for a set of sixes and Wolff mucked his cards.

Vieira Scoops a Big One Before the Break

Level 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

As the clock was winding down to another break, Joao Vieira and Aviv Meiri were involved in a fairly large pot. There was around 22,000 in the middle on a board reading {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Vieira led out for 12,500 in the small blind. Meiri called from middle position and the {6-Diamonds} hit the river.

Vieira didn't seem to be worried about the third diamond on the river as he fired another bet of 17,000. Meiri used up a time extension before making the call. Vieira turned over {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for a set of queens and Meiri put his cards in the muck.

The players are taking their last 20-minute break before returning for the last three levels of the night.

Small Pot for Sammartino

Level 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

Bahram Chobineh limped in from the cutoff and Dario Sammartino raised to 2,200 out of the small blind. Chobineh called and the flop came {j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}. Sammartino continued for 2,000 and Chobineh called.

The turn was the {3-Clubs} and Sammartino checked this time. Chobineh checked back and the {k-Clubs} landed on the river. Sammartino led out for 6,200 and that proved to be enough to force Chobineh out of the pot.

Haxton Stacking Chips

Level 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

The action folded around to Anthony Zinno who limped in from the small blind. Isaac Haxton checked his option in the big blind and the flop came {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Zinno checked to Haxton who bet 700 and Zinno called.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and Zinno checked again. Haxton bet another 2,000 but Zinno wasn't going anywhere yet as he made the call. The {a-Hearts} completed the board and Zinno elected to lead out for 6,000 this time. Haxton used a time extension before sticking in a raise to 18,000. Zinno gave it a brief thought but eventually laid his hand down.
