Hook, Line, and Sinker

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Hassan Nashar raised it up to 5,500 from middle position and Adrian Mateos just called directly to his left, along with Joao Vieira in the big blind. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Vieira checked to Nashar who bet 7,500. Mateos came along for the ride while Vieira laid his hand down.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and Nashar fired out another 12,500. Mateos still called and the {4-Diamonds} paired the board on the river. Nashar counted out a bet of 23,500 and Mateos instantly called. Stringing his opponent along the entire hand, Mateos showed {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} while Nashar saw his stack sink with {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

O'Dwyer Doubles, Seidel Loses the Lead

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

On a flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, the action was on Steve O'Dwyer who bet 15,000 into a pot of 20,000. Pablo Melogno check-raised all in from the big blind and O'Dwyer wasted no time before calling off his stack of 71,500.

Melogno held {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a straight draw but O'Dwyer had that covered with {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. The {5-Spades} on the turn brought some chop outs but the {j-Diamonds} on the river ensured a full double up for O'Dwyer.

Meanwhile, Erik Seidel has finally surrendered the chip lead for the first time since the second hand of Day 1. Charlie Carrel and Ole Schemion have both moved to his table and put a dent in Seidel's stack as those two now battle for tops on the leaderboard.

Davies More Than Doubles Up

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Joao Vieira raised to 5,500 in the hijack and was called by Luc Greenwood in the cutoff and Seth Davies in the big blind. The flop fell {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Davies checked to Vieira who continued for 13,500. Greenwood called and Davies check-raised all in for 62,000. Vieira asked for a count but folded while Greenwood made the call.

Seth Davies: {9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Luc Greenwood: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Greenwood was in the lead with his pair of kings but Davies held a pair and a flush draw. The {a-Hearts} on the turn gave Davies a flush which locked up the pot for him and more than doubled his stack.

Boivin Can't Bluff His Way Out of Trouble

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Thomas Boivin
Thomas Boivin

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, Thomas Boivin and Timothy Adams were heads-up in the blinds. Boivin led out for 22,000 from the small blind and Timothy Adams called from the big blind.

The river was the {j-Hearts} and Boivin took his time before moving all in for a little over 45,000. Adams instantly dropped in a call which was bad news for Boivin. He turned over {8-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for a bluff while Adams held {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a flush.

With that, another table was broken and the tournament is down to just four tables.

Nick Petrangelo: {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Chobineh Pays Off Melogno

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The action folded to Bahram Chobineh on the button who just opted to limp in. Pablo Melogno raised to 8,500 in the small blind and Chobineh called to see a flop.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Melogno continued for 5,500. Chobineh called and the {10-Hearts} landed on the turn. Both players checked and the {4-Spades} completed on the board.

Melogno sized up with a river bet of 33,000 which sent Chobineh into the tank. After two of his time banks, Chobineh made the call. Melogno turned over {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} for two pair and Chobineh mucked his cards.
