Carrel Wins a Flip Against Kitai

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

Davidi Kitai opened to 4,500 in early position and Charlie Carrel three-bet to 14,000 in the hijack. The action was folded back to Kitai who thought for a moment before shoving all in for just over 50,000. Carrel nearly beat him into the pot and the cards were on their backs.

Charlie Carrel: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Davidi Kitai: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Carrel remained out front in the coin flip. The {3-Spades} on the turn gave Carrel a flush draw which took away a couple of Kitai's outs and the {4-Diamonds} on the river secured the win for Carrel.

Vieira Tops Greenwood in Battle of the Blinds

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The action folded to Joao Vieira in the small blind who made it 7,500 to go. Luc Greenwood called from the big blind and the two players saw a flop of {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Vieira led out for 7,000 and Greenwood played along after seeing the flop.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {10-Clubs} on the river. Vieira checked again and Greenwood bet 15,000. Vieira instantly called and Greenwood tabled {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Vieira showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for a stronger two pair as he raked in the pot.

Ace-High is Good for Petrangelo

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

Nick Petrangelo opened to 3,200 from early position and was called by Orpen Kisacikoglu on the button and Alexander Uskov in the small blind. The flop came {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Uskov checked to Petrangelo who continued for 6,500. Kisacikoglu called and Uskov got out of the way.

The turn brought the {2-Hearts} and Petrangelo wagered half of his stack, a bet of 13,000. Kisacikoglu called again and the {2-Spades} paired the board on the river. Petrangelo checked this time and Kisacikoglu reluctantly checked it back. Petrangelo flipped over {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and that was enough to win the pot.

Wu Runs Into Kings

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Paul Newey raised it up from under the gun and was called by Ole Schemion on his left. Yake Wu was in the cutoff and pushed all in for around 17,000. Lauren Roberts woke up with a hand in the small blind and made a four-bet to 30,000. Newey and Schemion both folded and the two remaining hands were tabled.

Lauren Roberts: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Yake Wu: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}

The flop of {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades} gave Roberts a commanding lead with a set of kings. The {9-Hearts} on the turn gave Wu a flush draw but the {2-Spades} on the river bricked off as he headed for the exit.

Heath Goes Heavy on the River

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

In a three-bet pot, Sam Greenwood and Ben Heath were heads-up with a little over 20,000 chips in the middle preflop. The dealer fanned the flop of {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Greenwood checked from the hijack. Heath bet 5,500 on the button and Greenwood called.

The {8-Clubs} paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the {k-Clubs} on the river. Greenwood dropped in a bet of 10,000 and Heath went into the tank before raising to 62,800. Greenwood used up a time extension but eventually decided on a fold.
