Domjan Stays Alive Twice

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

David Domjan shoved all in for his last 8,000 from under the gun and was called by Francois Evard in the hijack. Action folded to Mounir Tajiou in the small blind who raised to 30,000. Evard folded but showed a bit of annoyance with the raise of Tajiou.

David Domjan: {7-Spades}{5-Spades}
Mounir Tajiou: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{j-Spades} for Domjan to flop a pair of sevens and hold out throughout the rest of the board to double up.

Domjan's one-man rail cheered loudly for "Tom Cruise" as he apparently looks like him.

Shortly after, Evard limped in from the early position, Natalie Teh raised to 13,000 from mid-position and David Domjan shoved for 24,000 from the small blind. Evard folded again and Teh quickly called.

David Domjan: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Natalie Teh: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for Domjan to hold again for another double-up.

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Julien Martini
Julien Martini

Mounir Tajiou raised to 11,000 from the button and was called by Julien Martini in the big blind.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, Martini check-called the 11,000 continuation-bet of Tajiou.

The turn brought them the {2-Spades} and now Martini decided to check-raise the 15,000 continuation-bet of Tajiou to 41,000 which Tajiou called.

The river completed the board with the {a-Hearts} and Martini opted to take over the initiative by betting 78,000.

Tajiou dived into the tank. "I have a very strong ace!" he commented while considering his options. "You want me to have a flush, don't you?"

After a while, the clock was called on Tajiou. The floor came over and gave him 30 seconds to make a decision. Ten seconds or so later, Tajiou said he would fold but didn't let his hand go yet as he was trying to see if Martini would show. A few more seconds later, Tajiou showed {a-}{j-}.

"I'm not sure you want to see my hand," Martini said with a smile before glancing at his cards again and then decided to show the {9-Hearts}.
