The steady stream of eliminations continues with four minutes before the break.

Ramin Hajiyev
Ramin Hajiyev

Wai Leong Chan opened to 2,200 from under the gun and Ramin Hajiyev re-raised to 7,300 in the hijack. The action folded back to Chan who made the call. The flop fell {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Chan check-called a bet of 6,500 from Hajiyev.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Chan checked again. Hajiyev used a time extension before shoving all in. Chan called off his last 27,600 chips and the cards were tabled.

Hajiyev turned over {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} while Chan had the better of the two with {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. The {k-Diamonds} hit the river and Hajiyev made a pair of kings but it also made Chan a flush, securing him a double up.
