Hanna Builds Stack Further

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a flop of {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, Francesco Grieco checked and called a bet of 4,000 by table neighbor Georges Hanna. The {6-Clubs} followed on the turn and Grieco checked once more, which triggered a bet of 7,000 by Hanna. That was enough to win the pot uncontested, as Grieco folded.

The same table features big stacks and notables in Xavier Carriere, Evy Kvilhaug, Tomas Jozonis, Michail Karapanos and Josep Maria Galindo Lopez. One table over, Patrik Antonius battles with Timothy Adams and Charlie Carrel, among others.

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Paul Hoefer raised to 2,200 in late position and received two calls, including Vamshi Vandanapu in the blinds. The flop was {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Hoefer continued for 2,400. Vandanapu check-raised to 8,500 and Hoefer instantly released his hand.

Across the field, Jes Bondo is also closing in on the 200k mark and among the top stacks coming into the last level of the day.

Zeitoun Jams Into Razavi

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a flop of {k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} in a battle small blind versus button, Johann Zeitoun check-raised from 10,000 to 25,000 and Malikeh Razavi made the call to see the {3-Hearts} on the turn. Zeitoun moved all in and Razavi was sent into the think tank.

"He covers me? Can you please count?" Razavi requested and the all in was for 35,400. Razavi had that covered, but folded and said in table chat he had a set of fours.

Katzenburger Takes Some From Badziakouski

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In the last hand of the penultimate level, Mikita Badziakouski opened to 2,100 in early position and was three-bet to 5,600 by Victor Katzenburger. Everyone one else got out of the way and Badziakouski called, taking them heads up to the flop.

The flop fell {4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Badziakouski decided to lead, making it 4,500 to play. Katzenburger called and there was a {k-Spades} on the turn. Badziakouski bet again, this time 10,000 and Katzenburger tank-called. The {4-Diamonds} river paired the bottom card and Badziakouski checked. When Katzenburger bet 18,000, Badziakouski decided fold was the best option.

Kamel Gets Tricky in a Multi-Way Pot

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Tamer Kamel kicked things off with an open to 2,100 in middle position and was called by Victoria Coren Mitchell and Jason Wheeler behind, as well as both the blinds.

Five handed to the flop, the dealer laid {q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} down and everyone checked. The {q-Hearts} turn saw the betting start up again. The blinds checked again and Kamel bet 3,700. Coren Mitchell folded, as did Wheeler before Gabriel Chiva upped it to 15,000. The player in the big blind moved aside and after Kamel called, Wheeler also passed.

The river card was the {10-Clubs} and Chiva checked then snap-folded when Kamel bet enough to commit him. "Well played" said Coren Mitchell as he scooped it up.

Shehadeh Rising

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

"You missed ie by three minutes. He rivered a full house," Francois Evard said and pointed to Luigi Shehadeh, who had doubled through him. Shehadeh went on to add further chips to his growing tower by sending Ben Farrell to the rail.

Farrell check-called all in for his last few big blinds on the {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{q-Hearts} river and mucked his {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} when Shehadeh had flipped over {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for top two.

Fast's Kings Don't Hold

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Dietrich Fast
Dietrich Fast

First to act, Kalidou Sow made it 2,200 to go and the action folded around to Dietrich Fast in the small blind. The German moved all in for 22,100 and Jonathan Proudfoot in the big blind seemed interested, but folded. Sow carefully counted his stack, which happened to be just shy of 70,000, and ultimately made the call.

Dietrich Fast: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Kalidou Sow: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop improved Sow to a pair of aces, and Fast found no help on the {9-Diamonds} turn and {6-Hearts} river.
