Radzivonau Jams The River

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Kiryl Radzivonau raised to 2,000 first to act and picked up four callers to see the {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop, on which just Lidiya Kozenkova check-called a bet worth 3,500. Kozenkova check-called another 6,800 on the {k-Diamonds} turn and check-folded the {5-Hearts} river when facing the shove of Radzivonau.

Karlic Eliminated for Now

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Gerald Karlic was on his way out of the tournament area when he failed to beat the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} of Sergey Verkhoturov for top pair on an ace-high board. However, that certainly won't be the last time the Austrian will try to run up a stack for Day 2.

Up And Down for Ivlev

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Andrey Ivlev
Andrey Ivlev

Andrey Ivlev check-called a bet of 1,200 by Vitaliy Avanesyan on the {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades} and they checked the {q-Spades} turn. Ivlev had barely bet the {j-Clubs} river when Avanesyan had already folded.

Shortly after, Mikhail Simonenko was awaiting his fate and Ivlev jammed the {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} turn to isolate successfully. Simonenko tabled {a-Spades}{j-Spades} and Ivlev had the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for the other flush draw. As the {8-Spades} rolled off on the river, Simonenko improved to a flush and avoided a trip to the registration desk.

Volkov Takes From Khusainov

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

In a battle button versus small blind, Oleg Volkov and Bulat Khusainov were in action on the {j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop and the latter bet 4,000, which Volkov called. The {j-Diamonds} turn prompted a bet of 6,000 by Khusainov and another call of Volkov followed.

Both then checked the {3-Spades} river and Khusainov revealed his {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}, which Volkov had beat with the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for jacks and eights.

Flush for Parfenov

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Roman Parfenov defended his big blind against a raise by Leonid Timonin from under the gun and check-called a bet of 3,500 on the {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{q-Spades} turn. He also checked the {a-Spades} river and Timonin carefully cut out a bet worth 3,000.

Parfenov raised to 10,000 and Timonin needed plenty of time before making the call. Parfenov then tabled the {5-Spades}{4-Spades} and Timonin mucked {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} face up.
