Greenwood Doubles Through Mattsson

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Blind on blind Sam Greenwood opened to 32,000 and Simon Mattsson raised to 65,000. Greenwood called.

The pair checked the {4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop and the turn was the {5-Spades}. Greenwood checked again and Mattsson bet 40,000. Greenwood check-raised all in for 182,000 and Mattsson called.

Greenwood showed {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Mattsson flung {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} despondently face-up on the table. The river was the {q-Diamonds} and Greenwood doubled up just as players were redrawing around three tables.

Lofberg Doubles Through Kempe; Kempe Dusts Khachaturov

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

Hand #1:

Masato Yokosawa was under the gun and opened to 25,000. He was three-bet to 85,000 by Rainer Kempe, who was on the button before Simon Lofberg cold four-bet all in for 682,000. Yokosawa folded and Kempe quickly called.

Simon Lofberg: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Rainer Kempe: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Lofberg was out in front and remained there the whole way as the board ran out {6-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades} en route to a double, leaving Kempe with about 285,000 behind.

Hand #2

On the very next hand, Artem Khachaturov shoved all in for about 250,000 from the hijack and Kempe went all in over the top from the cutoff. Everybody else folded and the two were off to the races.

Artem Khachaturov: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Rainer Kempe: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Kempe hit a king on the flop after not getting one on the previous runout, with the board coming {8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{j-Spades} to result in Kempe's kings toasting Khachaturov's sixes to spell for his exit from the tournament in 25th place.

The tournament clock has now been paused for a full three-table redraw. Seating assignments and chip counts for the final 24 will be posted shortly.

Simon Mattsson Eliminated in 24th Place (€24,240)

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Simon Mattsson had committed most of his chips to the pot pre-flop from the big blind after Arsenii Karmatckii opened.

He put his last 10,000 in on a {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts} flop and Karmatckii called.

Simon Mattsson: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Arsenii Karmatckii: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

The turn {3-Clubs} and river {j-Clubs} offered not even a hint of any assistance and Mattsson was eliminated.

Khatri Can't Fade Flush; Still Doubles

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ludovic Geilich opened the action with a raise to 27,000 under the gun and action made its way around to Bhavin Khatri, who three-bet all in for 158,000. Geilich deliberated for a few moments after action was back upon him and eventually decided on a call.

Bhavin Khatri: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Ludovic Geilich: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The flop came {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, causing Khatri to say that he needed to see black cards. The dealer complied on the turn, bringing {4-Clubs} onboard.

"One more black card," requested Khatri. The river came {a-Diamonds} to give Geilich a flush, but it also improved Khatri to a full house and scored him the double as a result.

Francesco Delfoco Eliminated in 22nd Place (€26,710)

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Francesco Delfoco
Francesco Delfoco

Masato Yokosawa opened to 24,000 in the cutoff and Francesco Delfoco shoved all in for just over 100,000 on the button. Viktor Katzenberger also shoved all in from the big blind and Yokosawa instantly stuck in the last of his 336,000 chips as well.

Masato Yokosawa: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Viktor Katzenberger: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Francesco Delfoco: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

All three players woke up with pocket pairs and some murmurs came from the table on the flop of {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Katzenberger flopped a set of eights to take a big lead but the {a-Diamonds} landed on the turn. Some more "Oohh's" came from the table as Yokosawa spiked a two-outer for an even bigger lead. The {5-Diamonds} completed the board which eliminated Delfoco and Yokosawa doubled through Katzenberger in the side pot.

Katzenberger Doubles Through Karmatckii

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Viktor Katzenberger saw action foldd to him int eh cutoff and went all in for 117,000. He received a call from Arsenii Karmatckii, who was on the button, and the two remaining players in the hand folded.

Viktor Katzenberge: {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Arsenii Karmatckii: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Katzenberger needed to improve to stay alive and did not find much help on the flop {3-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. However, the turn {k-Spades} was just what he needed to pull ahead and the river [t6h] kept him there as the runout finished to score him the double.

Viktor Katzenberger

Viktor Katzenberger opened to 24,000 in early position and Daniel Dvoress called on the button. Masato Yokosawa three-bet to 140,000 in the small blind and Katzenberger shoved all in for just under 300,000. Dvoress folded and Yokosawa made the call.

Masato Yokosawa: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Viktor Katzenberger: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

It was a coin flip and Yokosawa took the lead on the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop. The {4-Spades} on the turn nor the {3-Hearts} on the river would save Katzenberger who headed to the payout desk.

Queen-High Enough for Toma Double

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Action was on a {10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop and Kamel Aslan bet 34,000. Tsugunari Toma raised all in for around 200,000 and Aslan called.

Toma held {q-Spades}{j-Spades} for an open-ended straight draw, but was ahead of the {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flush draw of Aslan.

The turn {7-Clubs} and river {10-Hearts} bricked and Toma doubled, much to Aslan's dismay.

He would double on the very next hand all-in preflop with {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} against Ashkan Fattahi's {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. The board came {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} giving Aslan a straight to immediately double back up.
