Welcome to the first event of the 2019 European Poker Tour Prague which is the €10,300 No-Limit Hold'em tournament. The first day of this 2-day event kicks off at 5 p.m. local time here at the magnificent Hilton Prague. Last year, 38 entries were attracted to the first €10k of the festival with Turkey's Akin Tuna taking the tournament down by beating Ognyan Dimov heads-up for €125,330.

This is only the first event of a whopping 47 tournaments that are on offer thanks to PokerStars and the PokerNews live reporting team will be on hand to bring you all the action from 8 of the marquee events. The EPT National, €2,200 EPT National High Roller, €50,000 EPT Super High Roller, two €25,000 Single-Day High Rollers, €10,300 EPT High Roller, and of course, the €5,300 EPT Main Event will be the ones in the spotlight over the next two weeks.

But back to the tournament at hand, Thomas Boivin, Orpen Kisacikoglu, Daniel Dvoress, and Davidi Kitai were the four other players who added another cash to their already impressive resume at the start of the cold but atmospheric 2018 edition. The temperature outside might be freezing but all players will be hoping to run very hot over the next few days.

Players will receive 50,000 in chips in their start stack, level duration will last 40 minutes throughout the tournament. A 30-second shot clock will be in play from the start with players receiving 6 time bank cards, worth 30 seconds each, with their start stack. An additional 3 will be awarded at the start of Day 2 with another 3 handed out when the final table has been reached. If players bust, one reentry is allowed until the start of Day 2 on December 7 at 1 p.m. local time.

A 15-minute break will be scheduled after Level 3, 6, and 8 and Day 1 will feature ten levels of play. The PokerNews live reporting team will be roaming the floor from the first shuffle up and deal in Prague until the final chip has been bagged for Day 2. So stick around for all the traditional EPT live updates!

Seth Davies raised to 500 from the cutoff and Jorryt van Hoof was the only one to make the call from the small blind.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, Van Hoof check-called the 400 continuation-bet of Davies.

They both checked through the {10-Diamonds} on the turn to the {9-Clubs} on the river. Van Hoof bet 600 and Davies took his time before raising to 2,300. Van Hoof contemplated for a bit but opted to fold in the end.
