Jean-Noel Thorel

There was 9,000 in the middle on a flop reading {3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Anton Siden had checked under the gun over to Jean-Norel Thorel, who was on the button. Thorel bet 6,000 and Siden check-raised to 18,000. Thorel called.

The turn came {7-Clubs} and Siden pumped the brakes, checking over to Thorel. Thorel took back the initiative and fired out 25,000. Siden thought called and the river fell {k-Clubs}. Siden checked again and Thorel immediately reached for more chips, betting another 25,000. Four-Bet Pot Goes to Gieles

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In a four-bet pot, Luuk Gieles and Tsugunari Toma were heads-up in the hand after having each put 37,000 in the middle preflop. The flop came {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} and both players checked to the {7-Diamonds} on the turn.

Gieles checked again and Toma used a time extension before checking it back. The river was the {2-Spades} and Gieles tossed in a small bet of 14,000. Toma quickly called and Gieles flipped over {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} for the best hand.

Dvoress Gets Snapped Off

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Dvoress opened to 2,500 under the gun and action folded around to Matthias Eibinger, who defended his big blind. Both players checked the flop {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

The turn came {5-Clubs} and Ebinger bet 2,500. Dvoress thought for a bit and then raised to 9,000. Ebinger called. The river fell {2-Clubs} and Ebinger checked. Dvoress bet 2,500 and Ebinger immediately put down a chip onto the felt to call.

Dvoress tabled {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}, prompting Ebinger to send his cards to the muck. Dvoress confirmed the amount at 25,000 due to Ebinger only calling with one chip and Ebinger sent the requisite amount his way.

Obara Doubles Through Gieles

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jun Obara and Luuk Gieles got all of the chips in the middle preflop with Obara being at risk for 43,500. Gieles was in good shape to score the first knockout of the day when the cards were tabled.

Jun Obara: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Luuk Gieles: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

However, the flop of {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts} put Obara in the lead with two pair. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn and the {9-Hearts} on the river changed nothing and Obara doubled through Gieles.

Also, Pascal Hartmann, George Wolff, Juha Helppi, and Laurynas Levinskas have joined the field.
