Moreau Finds a Little Life

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

John Mooney was under the gun and opened to 700. He was called by Navot Golan on his direct left before Erdal Gulseven three-bet to 1,600 out of middle position.

Alexandre Moreau was in the big blind and called all in for less, totaling 1,100. Mooney and Golan called the 1,600 total and action went three ways to a side pot with Moreau in position to quadruple his stack.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and both Mooney and Golan checked. Gulseven bet 2,800, getting a fold from Mooney. Golan then thought for a few moments and put out chips to call. The turn was {a-Hearts} and Golan checked again. Gulseven fired out 4,000.

"Alright, let's see what you have," said Golan, folding {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} face up.

"Good fold," said Gulseven, tabling {k-Spades}{j-Spades}. "Good fold for me," he added with a little chuckle.

Moreau tabled {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, shrugging after seeing that although he was not drawing dead, one of his two unpaired cards was not live. He would need a five and a five only to stay alive, and hit just what he needed as the river came {5-Clubs} to earn him the main pot and the quadruple as the side pot was sent Gulseven's way.

Ates Doubles With Aces

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Kalidou Sow opened to 800 from under the gun and received a call from Oliver Bosch in early position. Action folded around to Orhan Ates, who three-bet to 3,200. Both Sow and Bosch called and action went three ways to the streets.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and action checked to Ates, who put out a T5,000 chip for a continuation-bet. Sow let his hand go and Bosch stuck around, bringing the turn {3-Clubs}. Bosch checked to Ates again, and he fired a second barrel for 8,500. Bosch thought for a bit and called.

The river fell {k-Clubs} and Bosch checked one last time. Ates announced he was all in, pushing forward his stack and Bosch asked for a count which was totaled to be 12,900. Bosch called and the dealer announced that both hands must be shown for the all-in situation.

Orhan Ates: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Oliver Bosch: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Ates' pocket rockets were good the whole way, with Bosch's second-best hand of two pair and a missed flush draw resulting in him sending a pile of chips Ates' way.

Grimberg Wins With Small Raise

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Yiyao Li opened to 900 under the gun and was called by Andrei Grimberg, who was in middle position. Action made its way around to the big blind, who also defended, and the three saw the flop come {5-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

The big blind checked to Li, who made a continuation-bet of 1,500. Grimberg thought for about 40 seconds and then put out a raise to 3,400. The big blind quickly folded, putting action onto Li, who thought for a half-minute before sliding his cards forward across the felt face down, resulting in Grimberg winning the pot on the flop.

Even with the lost pot, Li looks to be one of the largest stacks in the room with a pile of chips that is just over three starting stacks midway through Level 5.

Li Loses Flip To Bust

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

There was a raise to 1,000 from under the gun and Ole Olsen three-bet to 3,100 from middle position. Action made its way around to Vitaliy Li in the small blind and he cold four-bet all in for his last 8,400. The original opener folded and Olsen quickly called to send the two off to the races.

Vitaliy Li: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Ole Olsen: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Li was out in front but not for long as a jack came in the window on the flop {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Neither the turn {4-Hearts} nor the river {8-Diamonds} were of further help to Li and he got up and made his way from the tournament area shortly after the completion of the runout.

Vranken Down to Crumbs

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Andre Petrovic raised from middle position to 1,200 and Antoine Vranken called from the button. The player in the small blind three-bet to 3,600 and both Petrovic and Vranken stuck around to see the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop being dealt.

The player in the small blind continued with a bet of 5,400 and Petrovic got out of the way. Vranken raised to 11,500 but he was then three-bet by the small blind who put 25,400 in the middle which was an all-in. Vranken called and they opened up.

Small blind: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Antoine Vranken: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out with the {9-Clubs} on the turn and the {a-Hearts} on the river and both weren't enough for Vranken to take the pot. He was left behind with just 3,500.
