Last year's runner-up in the €2,200 EPT National High Roller in Prague, Sonny Franco, joined the field in an effort to improve on his result from last year. He sits a little above starting stack but there is still a very long road ahead of Franco.

Franco lasted until 3 am on Day 2 of the tournament when he was eliminated by Yaniv Peretz. Franco banked €293,275 after a heads-up deal while Peretz settled for €253,965.

Shcherbakov Wins With Better Ace

The big blind checked to Schulze, who made a continuation-bet of 1,200. Shcherbakov "clicked it back" to raise to the minimum value of 2,400, getting a fold from the big blind. Schulze then thought for some time before matching the bet.

Both remaining players checked the turn and Schulze bet 3,100 on the river . Shcherbakov quickly announced a call.

Schulze tabled for aces up and Shcherbakov showed , with his queen kicker proving the difference to earn him the pot.
