Gusachenko Busts Before the Bubble

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Marcin Lesniewski had raised from the middle position and Aleksandr Gusachenko shoved for 47,000 from the button. Semen Kravets called in the big blind and so did Lesniewski.

The flop came {9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, Kravets checked, Lesniewski bet 40,000, Kravets raised to 100,000. Lesniewski tanked for a while but opted to fold in the end.

Aleksandr Gusachenko: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Semen Kravets: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The rest of the board was completed with the {8-Diamonds} on the turn and the {5-Diamonds} on the river for Gusachenko to get eliminated just before the bubble.

Borlan Busts Christen and Voinea

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

There was some uproar in the corner table as a three-way all-in was going on. A short-stacked Detlef Christen had the bets of it preflop with {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} against the {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} of Dan Serban Borlan while Ionut Voinea called off for around 180,000 when facing the two all-ins and had tabled {a-}{q-}.

The board came {j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades} to improve Borlan to a full house and send two players out. Suddenly, the screens show just 192 hopefuls remaining and 187 of them will make the cut.

O'Kelly Eliminated by Staszko

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Martin Staszko
Martin Staszko

After defending out of the blinds, Irishman David O'Kelly got his stack in after the {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop and tabled the {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for bottom two pair. Martin Staszko from early position had the {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for the overpair and the {6-Clubs} turn counterfeited the hand of O'Kelly already.

Staszko got the cherry on top with the {q-Hearts} river to make a full house.

"I folded a queen," Dieter Aebi in the one seat mentioned.

Segl Eliminated by Meli

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Petr Segl: {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Vincent Meli: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The {j-Diamonds} turn and {9-Clubs} river failed to improve Segl while Meli climbed up further in the Day 1b pecking order.
