Ropert Eliminated by Delmas

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Down to around 7,000, Corentin Ropert got his chips in with the {q-Spades}{10-Spades} and fellow Frenchman Adrien Delmas looked him up with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

The {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop gave Ropert a flush draw but he bricked the {j-Diamonds} turn and {q-Hearts} river.

"It was a pleasure, guys," Ropert said on his way out and bumped fists with the Frenchmen at the table before heading to the rail.

Ates Raced Off by Juutilainen

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Adrian Mateos raised to 1,300 on the button and Orhan Ates three-bet to 9,000 in the small blind. Henri Juutilainen four-bet shoved 47,900 from the big blind, Mateos folded, and Ates called it off for less.

Orhan Ates: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Henri Juutilainen: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The dealer fanned out a low board of {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades} to keep Juutilainen's queens in the lead.

Patrik Antonius was spotted on the rail as he had just gathered his belongings and was on the way out of the tournament area. Alexander Ivarsson raked in the pot with {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} as the board was still showing {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Ivarsson confirmed that Antonius had been all in with {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a flopped flushdraw.

Kunze Doubles Through Benaissa

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

In the first hand after coming back from dinner, Sofian Benaissa raised to 1,300 and was called by Tom Kunze in the small blind and Fahredin Mustafov in the big blind. The {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop was checked to Benaissa and he continued for 1,500. Only Kunze called and check-raised the {2-Hearts} turn from 3,500 to 10,000. Benaissa moved all in and Kunze called for 22,500.

Tom Kunze: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Sofian Benaissa: {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

The river was the {9-Hearts} and Kunze doubled right before the table broke.

Vlach Forces Fold from Vrakas

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

On a three-way flop of {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, the action checked to Georgios Vrakas and he bet 1,800. Lubomir Vlach in the small blind raised it up to 5,100 and big stack Mateusz Wozniak in the big blind reluctantly folded. Vrakas checked the stack of his opponent before making the call and they headed to the {a-Hearts} turn.

Vlach now bet 8,700 and Vrakas eventually folded the {k-Clubs} turn face up with the words "I don't think you can bluff there."

Brandstrom Wins Big Pot Against Obara

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Jun Obara check-called a bet of 8,600 by 2019 EPT Barcelona champion Simon Brandstrom on the {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} turn and the {2-Hearts} fell on the river. Obara checked once more and Brandstrom now fired a far bigger bet of 36,000. Obara called within a few seconds and was shown the {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for trips fives to lose a big pot and vault Brandstrom near the top of the leaderboard.
