Ostanin Trims Kiselev's Chip Stack

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Anton Ostanin was all in pre-flop with {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and was looking to hold against the {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} of Daniil Kiselev.

Kiselev had been vying for the chip lead along with defending champion Matous Houzvicek but on a {2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} Ostanin was the one left celebrating as he stayed in the tournament and doubled to just over average.

Achilov Wins Some From Sergutin

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Marat Achilov
Marat Achilov

Marat Achilov kicked off the action with a 22,000 open in early position. Both the blinds defended, Alexandr Sergutin in the small and Vasily Yarkov in the big.

The dealer laid {3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} on the flop and Sergutin lead for 40,000. This prompted Yarkov to fold but Achilov came along.

On the {4-Clubs} river Sergutin check-called Achilov's 70,000 bet and they went on to the river. It was the {j-Clubs} and this time both players checked.

Marat Achilov: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Alexandr Sergutin: {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Achilov's pair of tens beat Sergutin's pair of fours and Achilov scooped the chips.

Macnamara Doubles Through Yantsev

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Tomas Macnamara
Tomas Macnamara

Evgeniy Yantsev opened to 21,000 from under the gun and Tomas Macnamara three-bet all in for 163,000 from the big blind. Yantsev had the clock called on him as he made his decision but he eventually called.

Tomas Macnamara: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Evgeniy Yantsev: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Macnamara appeared bemused at the time it had taken Yantsev to make his decision, and any additional annoyance failed to materialise as he won the race with the board coming {9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{k-Hearts}{k-Spades} as he doubled to around average.
