Piskunovas Out to Chernenko

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

All the money went in preflop, with Piskunovas getting his last 86,000 in from early position. Yurij Chernenko made the call two to his left and Piskunovas was the player who needed to hit to stay in the game.

Yuriy Chernenko: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Vasilijus Piskunovas: {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Clubs} board was no help to Piskunovas and he made his way to the exit.

The Changing Fortunes of Kanabekov

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Aidyn Kanabekov has had a rollercoaster of a day. He started off near the top, then dropped to the bottom and he has just found a double against Vasiliy Tsapko in a hand just now.

He moved all in for 191,000 and when Tsapko called, they found they were off to the races.

Aidyn Kanabekov: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Vasiliy Tsapko: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Kanabekov hit top pair and the flush draw on the {7-Spades}{q-Spades}{9-Spades} flop, putting him miles ahead at this point. The {8-Hearts} turn gave Tsapko a few more outs but none of them came on the {5-Hearts} river. Kabanekov stood up, took a photo of the hand and then did a little dance in celebration, right before the Tournament Director came over to break the table.

Houzvicek Extends Chip Lead

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Matous Houzvicek has won two recent 300,000 chip pots without showdown. In the latest, the board read {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Mikhail Zavoloka checked to the defending champion who bet 325,000.

After a brief thought, Zavoloka folded and Houzvicek moved up to almost 1.5 million in chips.

Yantsevich Out to Masliankou

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop was out and three players were still in. Yury Masliankou, who was sat in the big blind, checked and Valery Yantsevich in middle position also checked. Georgiy Komarov then bet 35,000 on the button and Masliankou upped it to 85,000. Yantsevich and Komarov both called and there was already a hefty pot in the middle and three players still in, going to the turn.

It came the {j-Hearts} and after Masliankou checked, Yantsevich moved all in. This got Komarov out of the way but not Masliankou.

Yury Masliankou: {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Valery Yantsevich: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

It was top two pair vs bottom pair and a flush draw and understandably, Yantsevich was visibly disappointed when the river fell the {3-Diamonds}, giving Masliankou the flush and the chips.
