Lyubovetskiy Back Over a Million

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Andriy Lubovetskiy
Andriy Lubovetskiy

After dropping under 500,000 just a level ago, Andriy Lyubovetskiy has rebuilt his stack to over a million.

He was in the big blind versus Mike Watson, who bet 50,000 from the hijack on a flop of {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}.

Lyubovetskiy called to see the {9-Clubs} fall on the turn. He checked again, and this time Watson fired 225,000. Once more, Lyubovetskiy called.

The {6-Spades} fell on the river and after Lyubovetskiy checked again, Watson shut down and checked back.

Lyubovetskiy showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a winning top pair to get himself back further into contention at the final table.

Niall Farrell

Niall Farrell moved all in except for one chip from the cutoff. Kayhan Roshanfekr raised to force him to put the last chip in. Farrell waited and used his time banks as the other all in was developing on the other table.

After the tenth place elimination was fully confirmed, Farrell tossed in the last chip to officially put himself at risk.

Niall Farrell: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Kayhan Roshanfekr: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

The flop sent Farrell to the brink as it came {7-Spades}{a-Hearts}{5-Spades}. The turn was the {k-Spades} and the river the {3-Hearts} to eliminate Farrell, as he slid into ninth place and the pay jump by a matter of seconds.

Action was folded around to the blinds, where Niall Farrell open jammed from the small blind and Robert Cowen snap-called from the big blind.

Robert Cowen: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Niall Farrell: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}

Farrell had run into it with a blind versus blind cooler.

The flop came {3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, and Christopher Puetz called for a five on the turn for a sweat.

The dealer obliged, bringing the {5-Spades} to give Farrell the open-ended straight draw.

"Nothing personal," said Puetz to Cowen who was dreading a potential bad beat.

The dealer brought a safe {a-Clubs} on the river to lock up the double up for Cowen.
