Nick Petrangelo

Nick Petrangelo open-shoved for 150,000 and was called by Chris Brewer.

Nick Petrangelo: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Chris Brewer: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The board came {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Petrangelo doubled up.

The players are now going on a short break.

Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Nick Petrangelo limped and Timothy Adams raised to 175,000. Petrangelo called.

The flop was {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Petrangelo checked. Adams bet 135,000 and Petrangelo check-raised to 470,000.

Both players checked the {6-Spades} turn and Petrangelo then bet 1,200,000 on the {2-Clubs} river.

Adams used two time banks before calling.

"You got it," said Petrangelo, turning over the {a-Clubs}. Adams showed {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and won the pot.

Adrian Mateos Eliminated in 5th Place (€196,470)

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Timothy Adams opened to 100,000 and Adrian Mateos three-bet all in for around 1.4 million. Adams called.

Timothy Adams: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Adrian Mateos: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

The flop {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} opened both straight and flush opportunities for Mateos and Adams buried his head in his hands. The turn was the {7-Hearts} and the river was the {6-Spades} as Adams sent the start-of-day chip leader to the rail.

Mateos Battles Back

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

On a {2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop Adrian Mateos check-called 65,000 from Timothy Adams.

The turn was the {k-Clubs} and Mateos check-called 200,000.

The river {3-Clubs} went check-check, much to Mateos' disappointment, as he tabled {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for trip threes and took down the pot.

Chris Brewer
Chris Brewer

Chris Brewer opened to 100,000 on the button and Adrian Mateos three-bet to 375,000 from the small blind.

Brewer four-bet to 750,000 and Mateos five-bet jammed. Brewer snap-called for 2,375,000.

Chris Brewer: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Adrian Mateos: {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The board came {4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Brewer doubled up.

"Always a sweat," said tablemate Nick Petrangelo as Brewer moved into the tournament chip lead.

Kisacikoglu Doubles Through Brewer

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

Chris Brewer opened to 100,000 and called a shove from Orpen Kisacikoglu for his last 430,000.

Orpen Kisacikoglu: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Chris Brewer: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The flop {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} gave Kisacikoglu a flush draw and the turn {9-Diamonds} gave him a pair to go with it. But the river {a-Hearts} was the simplest way of him staying alive, and he did so to double to around one million chips.

Brewer into the Chip Lead

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

In a limped pot, Timothy Adams bet 40,000 and Chris Brewer checked his big blind.

The flop was {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Adams bet 40,000. Brewer called.

The turn was the {j-Diamonds} and Adams bet 140,000. Brewer called again.

Adams used a time bank before checking the {7-Spades} river, and tutted when Brewer checked back.

"You win," said Adams, with Brewer scooping the pot with {k-Spades}{5-Spades} for king-high and moving into the chip lead.

Stacks Level Out Further

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Nick Petrangelo bet 120,000 on a {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop and Timothy Adams called.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Petrangelo bet 120,000, with Adams calling again.

The river was the {9-Diamonds}. Petrangelo bet 60,000 and Adams called.

Petrangelo tabled {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for a rivered straight and won the pot.

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Chris Brewer opened to 100,000 and Adrian Mateos three-bet to 400,000.

Brewer called and Mateos check-called 220,000 from Brewer on the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop.

The pair checked down the {4-Spades} turn and {5-Diamonds} river. Mateos tabled {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Brewer showed {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and took down the pot.
