Timothy Adams opened to 90,000 on the button. Adrian Mateos three-bet to 400,000 from the big blind.

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Chris Brewer
Chris Brewer

Chris Brewer opened to 80,000 and Adrian Mateos raised all in from the small blind. Orpen Kisacikoglu folded his big blind and action was back on Brewer with 1.14 million behind.

"I feel like I've punted so much in spots like this," he mused, before checking the payouts and his opponents stacks. He eventually called.

Chris Brewer: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Adrian Mateos: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Mateos was dominated and received no help on the {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} board and Brewer doubled up.

"Sorry, felt a bit like a nit-roll," said Brewer.

"No it's fine," replied Mateos.

Brewer Bests Mateos

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Chris Brewer check-called 55,000 on {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} from Adrian Mateos and the turn was the {k-Hearts}

Brewer check-called 190,000 from Mateos and the river was the {2-Clubs}

Both players checked and Brewer won the pot with {k-Spades}{7-Spades} for trip kings.

Petrangelo Breaks Out the Four-Bet

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Timothy Adams raised to 80,000 from under the gun. Orpen Kisacikoglu three-bet to 320,000 from the small blind. Nick Petrangelo used a time bank before four-betting to 600,000.

Adams and Kisacikoglu quickly folded and Petrangelo took down the pot.

Mateos Back Above Five Million

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

In a limped pot blind on blind, Chris Brewer checked the {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop to Adrian Mateos who bet 40,000.

Brewer check-raised to 120,000 and Mateos called.

The turn was the {j-Diamonds} and Brewer checked again, but this time threw his hand into the muck when Mateos bet 90,000.

Kisacikoglu Doubles Through Petrangelo

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Orpen Kisacikoglu moved all in for 580,000 from the button. Nick Petrangelo called in the small blind and Timothy Adams folded his big blind.

Orpen Kisacikoglu: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Nick Petrangelo: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

It was a flip that Kisacikoglu would need to win, and there were no dangers on the {3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs} board, and Kisacikoglu doubled up.

Kisacikoglu Three-Bet Folds

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Timothy Adams opened to 80,000 and Orpen Kisacikoglu three-bet to 350,000 from the big blind.

Adams four-bet all in, and Kisacikoglu threw his hand away.

There have been no early confrontations between the five players. The only real moment came after Adrian Mateos opened to 80,000 from under the gun, but folded to a three-bet from Orpen Kisacikoglu to 225,000 in the next position.
