Chip Counts at the Break

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Players are going on their first break of the day with 12 players currently seated. When they return the blinds will be 1,000/1,500 with a 1,500 ante.

Pardo Pays Off Grafton

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Adrian Mateos opened to 2,500 and Juan Pardo three-bet to 10,000. Sam Grafton four-bet to 28,500 out of the small blind and Pardo was the only caller.

Grafton check-called 20,000 on the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop and both players checked the {8-Diamonds} turn.

The river was the {5-Clubs}. Grafton bet 25,500 and Pardo used a time bank before calling.

Grafton showed {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and took down the pot.

Heath Enters the Fray

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Ben Heath has become the 14th entry for this tournament and took his seat only a few minutes before the end of the second level.

In one of the first hands, he defended the big blind against a raise to 2,500 by Mike Watson. Nothing much happened thereafter as the Brit's bet of 2,500 on the {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} river was called by Watson. Heath rolled over {k-Clubs}{10-Spades} for aces and kings to snag the small pot.

Adams Gets Value From Watson

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Picking up the action on the three-way turn of {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades} turn, Stephen Chidwick bet 5,000 out of the small blind. Mike Watson called in the big blind and Timothy Adams in the hijack also came along. The {q-Clubs} fell on the river and the action was checked to Adams. He let the shot clock run down to some seven seconds before betting 25,000.

Chidwick got out of the way while Watson called and then mucked as Adams tabled the {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a flush.

Dvoress Re-Enters

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Dvoress has re-entered the Super High Roller. He bet 1,000 blind on blind versus Stephen Chidwick on {10-Spades}{q-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Chidwick called.

Dvoress check-called 7,500 on the {7-Clubs} turn and both players checked the {k-Hearts} river.

Dvoress tabled {a-Spades}{3-Spades} but Chidwick scooped the pot with {q-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a pair of queens.

Tominaga Chips Up Without Showdown

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On the tail end of a heads-up pot between Saar Wilf and Daichi Tominaga, the former bet the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs} river for 8,000. Wilf raised to 19,000 and Tominaga tossed in a single T-25,000 chip to indicate the call. That won the pot without showdown, as Wilf simply mucked his cards.

Tominaga then raised to 2,500 on the button and Adrian Mateos three-bet to 11,000 out of the small blind, earning a call from Tominaga. Mateos checked the {k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop and quickly folded when Tominaga made it 11,000 to go.

Dvoress First Super High Roller Elimination

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a {6-Spades}{j-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop Nick Petrangelo check-called 6,000 from Daniel Dvoress.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Petrangelo check-called 30,000.

The river was the {10-Spades}. Petrangelo checked and Dvoress bet 109,000 leaving himself just 500 behind.

Petrangelo used three time banks before throwing in a single chip to call. Dvoress tabled {k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for king-high and Petrangelo showed {q-Spades}{8-Spades} for a pair of queens and won the pot.

On the next hand, Petrangelo opened to 2,500 with Dvoress all in automatically from the small blind. Juan Pardo folded his big blind.

Nick Petrangelo: {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Daniel Dvoress: {9-Spades}{4-Spades}

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Dvoress became the first elimination of the day.

Brewer Semi-Shoves on Adams

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action was on a {4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} board and Chris Brewer checked to Timothy Adams.

Adams bet 6,000 and Brewer check-raised to 18,000. The river was the {k-Spades}. Brewer bet 49,000 leaving himself only a handful of 500 chips behind.

Adams used one time bank before folding.
