Nabet Runs into Jacks

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Nathan Nabet raised to 1,300 from middle position and a player on the button three-bet to 4,200. Mosjin El Yakoubi spent a moment in the tank from the big blind before tossing in chips to call.

Nabet four-bet shoved for 22,600. The button quickly folded and El Yakoubi called without hesitation. Action was heads up and Nabet was at risk.

Nathan Nabet: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Mosjin El Yakoubi: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and the jacks held to send Nabet to the rail.

Star-Studded Blinds Battle

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

In the early stages of a field this large, it's rare to find two stars sitting at the same table, let alone beside each other.

However, that's exactly the case at table 52 where Julien Martini and Henrik Hecklen are seated in the 1 and 2 seats respectively.

Their position recently led to a battle in the blinds, where Martini completed in the small blind and Hecklen checked his option.

Both players checked the {8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, then after Martini checked the {4-Hearts} turn, Hecklen fired 1,500 into the 1,800 chip pot.

Martini called, and the {8-Spades} was dealt on the river. Again Martini checked, and this time Hecklen came with an overbet of 9,000.

Martini opted to fold, awarding the pot to Hecklen.

Ferrini Takes More From Colillas

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Ramon Colillas' stack has taken another significant hit thanks to his neighbor to his immediate right, Mirco Ferrini.

With 17,000 in the pot already and the turn board reading {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, Ferrini checked to Colillas, who bet 7,900. Ferrini responded with a check-raise to 16,000.

With just 20,000 left in his stack, Colillas took his time before opting to fold and preserve his stack.

Ferrini showed Colillas {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} then added Colillas' chips into his growing towers which now total over 180,000.
