Kulev Spikes to Oust Conan

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Alex Kulev
Alex Kulev

Alex Kulev opened to 5,000 in middle position and Arthur Conan jammed for approximately 43,000 in the hijack. Action folded back to Kulev who called.

Arthur Conan: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Alex Kulev: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

The {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop vaulted Conan ahead to the {4-Spades} turn. He just needed to fade a two-outer to survive, but the {7-Spades} spiked the river to improve Kulev to a set, eliminating Conan.
