Kaverman Spikes an Ace to Bust Dvoress

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Byron Kaverman raised to 5,500 from middle position and Daniel Dvoress shoved all in for around 46,000 in the small blind. Kaverman quickly called and the cards were on their backs.

Daniel Dvoress: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Byron Kaverman: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Dvoress looked poised for a double up. The {10-Hearts} on the turn gave Kaverman some added outs and it was the {a-Clubs} on the river that sent Dvoress to the rail.

Ahmad Kh A Z Alsarhan
Ahmad Kh A Z Alsarhan

[Removed:397] opened to 5,500 from under the gun, Alex Kulev flatted the cutoff, and Daniel Dvoress flatted the button.

The dealer spread the {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop and Alsarhan continued for 6,000. Kulev folded and Dvoress raised to 16,000. Alsarhan then moved all in for 104,000, sending Dvoress into the tank. After using some time banks, Dvoress ultimately called.

[Removed:397]: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Daniel Dvoress: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The {2-Spades} and {8-Hearts} completed the board and Alsarhan secured the double with the superior kicker to the top pair.

Heath Returns with a Vengence

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Ben Heath
Ben Heath

Ben Heath just took a seat for his second entry of the day and wasted little time jumping straight into the action. Steve O'Dwyer opened to 5,500 and Heath called on his left. The two players went heads-up to a flop of {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

O'Dwyer checked to Heath who bet 5,500 and O'Dwyer check-raised to 14,000. Heath called and the {7-Diamonds} landed on the turn. Both players checked and the {3-Spades} completed the board.

O'Dwyer led out with a bet of 18,000 and Heath responded by raising to 79,000. O'Dwyer dipped into the tank for a couple of minutes before making the call. Heath turned over {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a straight and O'Dwyer conceded the pot.

Juan Pardo

A day after winning the £10,200 Mystery Bounty for nearly £240,000 with collected bounties, Juan Pardo is starting strong in another tournament.

Pardo opened to 4,000 in middle position and Ognyan Dimov defended the big blind.

The flop came {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Dimov check-called for 2,500. The {q-Hearts} turn was checked to the {j-Clubs} river, and Dimov check-folded to a bet of 4,000 to concede the pot to Pardo who added to his growing stack.

Kulev Runs Out a Flush

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Mike Watson opened to 4,000 in the hijack and was called by Corel Theuma in the cutoff. Alex Kulev three-bet ripped all in for 51,500 on the button. Watson re-shoved all in for slightly more and Theuma got out of the way.

Alex Kulev: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Mike Watson: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

"I feel like hearts are coming," Kulev pleaded as the most likely option was going to be a chop. However, the board ran out {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and Kulev did make a flush to double up and leave Watson on fumes.

The {j-Spades} turn was checked to the {6-Diamonds} river and O'Dwyer led for 35,000. Pardo called.

O'Dwyer tabled {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for the rivered nuts to claim the pot and add to his growing stack.
