McNicholas Coolered, Pudel Climbs

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Euan Mcnicholas
Euan Mcnicholas

From middle position, Euan McNicholas raised to 5,000 and action folded around to the big bling, Nils Pudel, who slid out a three-bet of 17,500. McNicholas, covered by Pudel, took his time before reraising all in and Pudel quickly called.

McNicholas sighed as he saw his opponent's hand and awaited his fate.

Euan McNicholas: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Nils Pudel: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and McNicholas stood up from his seat, needing one of the remaining two queens in the deck.

The turn {7-Spades} and river {5-Diamonds} were no help to McNicholas and he was eliminated.

Batlle Battles Wang and Flips Out

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Ladislao Dalfo Batlle
Ladislao Dalfo Batlle

Lei Wang opened to 6,000 from the hijack and Ladislao Batlle moved all in for about 22,500 in the cutoff. Action folded back to Wang who called.

Ladislao Batlle: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Lei Wang: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The {8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop didn't change anything and neither did the {9-Clubs} turn. Batlle needed an ace or king to survive as the dealer put paint onto the felt, but it was the {q-Hearts} to complete the board, and Batlle was eliminated.

Davlet Takes From Heung

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Wayne Heung bet 7,000 from middle position on the {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop and called when Eldos Davlet check-raised to 21,000 from the big blind.

Davlet led out for 16,000 on the {a-Hearts} turn, and Heung made the call to see the {9-Spades} river. Davlet fired again for 25,000, and Heung took a few minutes before making the call and tabling his hand.

Heung showed {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} but was second best to Davlet's flopped straight with {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} as the dealer slid the pot in Davlet's direction.

Conor Beresford
Conor Beresford

On a {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} board, Luis Faria checked the big blind and Conor Beresford bet 46,000 in the hijack. Faria called.

The {q-Clubs} completed the board and Faria checked again. Beresford announced a bet of 118,500, and Faria called fairly quickly.

Beresford tabled {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a flopped straight to move over 500,000 in chips as he nears the top of the leaderboard.

Nguyen Ousted by Heung

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

With roughly 30,000 in the pot on a {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds} completed board, Wayne Heung had 40,000 over the betting line in early position and was facing a jam by Tommy Nguyen in the big blind for 154,000. Heung thought about it and ultimately called.

Nguyen tabled {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}, while Heung showed {k-Spades}{10-Spades} to claim the pot, and Nguyen was eliminated as his ace of spades wasn't enough to get Heung away from the second-nut flush.

Faria Raises the River

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Conor Beresford opened to 5,000 from early position and the action folded around to Luis Faria on the button, who three-bet to 17,000.

Beresford called to the {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and checked to Faria, who fired 12,000. Beresford called again, and both players checked the {6-Diamonds} turn.

This time Beresford elected to lead the {4-Clubs} river for 20,000, but was met by a raise from Faria to 70,000. Beresford took a moment before making the fold, and Faria added to his stack.

Wigg Eliminated; Docherty Doubles

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

A three-way all in was in progress between Anton Wigg, David Docherty and Pedro Miranda.

Wigg was the short stack with Miranda ahead with the opportunity to knock out two opponents.

Anton Wigg: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
David Docherty: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Pedro Miranda: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The tens looked to be holding on the {j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} board but the {a-Hearts} river saw both Docherty and Wigg spike pairs. Wigg was outkicked and was eliminated with Docherty doubling for 116,000.

"Wasn't looking very likely," commented someone at the table.

"I wasn't feeling it myself," said Docherty.
