Alex Keating limped in the small blind before Daniel Aziz jammed for 1,470,000 from the big blind. Keating, who started the hand with 1,445,000, made the snap-call.

Keating was a huge favourite but Aziz found two fives to on the {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop to make quads. A stunned Keating hastily headed out of the tournament room as the {4-Clubs} and {a-Hearts} completed the board.

Miller Calls Correctly

Daniel Aziz raised to 200,000 in a blind battle with Adam Miller, with Miller defending to see the {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop. Aziz led out for 75,000, only to see Miller raise to 195,000.

Aziz called to the {4-Clubs} turn, where both players checked to the {3-Diamonds} river. Aziz led out again for 350,000 and Miller took some time before making the call. Aziz turned over {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a missed draw, while Miller revealed {j-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for a pair of jacks to take down the pot.

Keating Gains Ground

Renan Bruschi opened to 100,000 on the button before Alex Keating made it 275,000 from the small blind. Bruschi called.

Bruschi called a bet of 350,000 on the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop before the {4-Hearts} turn checked through to the {2-Spades} river. Keating checked and as the shot clock neared zero, Bruschi moved all in for 2,550,000.

Keating, who would be calling for his tournament life, used his last time bank before ultimately making the fold.

"Dammit!" said Keating, after seeing Bruschi turn over his {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for queen-high.

Aziz Four-Bets Into the Lead

Renan Bruschi raised to 100,000 on the button, only to see Alex Keating three-bet from the small blind to 275,000.

Daniel Aziz then used a time bank in the big blind before sliding out a four-bet to 550,000. Bruschi quickly folded, as did Keating and Aziz added new chips to his stack.

Aziz Scoops One In
