Landron Makes a Big Call on the Bubble

Level 17 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The field is down to 65 players, just two away from a min-cash of £3,300. With the big stacks trying to apply pressure, Robert Macsim raised it up from early position. Alexandre Landron three-bet to 17,000 in the cutoff and Macsim responded with a four-bet to 53,000. Landron called and the dealer spread the flop of {5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

Macsim led out with a bet of 41,000 and Landron called to see the {7-Diamonds} on the turn. Both players checked and the {5-Hearts} completed the board. Macsim took at least two minutes before he announced all in, putting Landron to the test for his remaining 137,000 chips.

Landron also dipped into the tank for over a minute before calling off for his tournament life. Macsim tabled {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a pure bluff while Landron showed {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for two pair.

"Those were not the two hands I was expecting to see," Alex Peffly announced from the other side of the table.
