Flush Over Flush Benefits Pilkington; Ricci Building Early Stack

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Jessica Pilkington
Jessica Pilkington

Antonio Romeo opened the action to 600 from early position and was called by Pascal Frezza and Markus Sturz from the cutoff and button respectively. Jessica Pilkington, who was in the big blind, also matched the preflop raise.

Romeo continued for 800 on the {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop and was called by Sturz and Pilkington. Action then checked to Sturz on the {5-Clubs} turn who bet 2,200. Pilkington quickly raised to 6,000 which put off Romeo while Sturz tagged along.

Pilkington, with 18,500 behind, led out for 15,000. Romeo then jammed to put Pilkington to the test but was snap-called.

Pilkington rolled over her {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for a king-high flush and bested her opponent's {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

On an adjacent table is Andrea Ricci who has also had a fruitful start to the day. The Italian was spotted dragging in a small pot to bring his chip count to around 57,000.

Rozenbaum Chipping Up

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

There was a heads-up pot between Shay Rozenbaum and Cosmin-Ionut Nica, with players looking at the {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop.

Rozenbaum fired for 3,500 into a pot of 4,600 from early position and was called by online poker aficionado Nica.

Nica then called a bet of 4,000 on the {9-Spades} turn. The {9-Clubs} completed the board and Rozenbaum sized up to 20,000 which meant Nica would be calling for his tournament life.

In the end, and with a pained face, Nica let his hand go and Rozenbaum chipped up.

On a nearby table, Nuri Hadioglu is also building a decent stack and will be looking to add to his $403,735 live tournament earnings.

Kerrien Cross With Runout

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Clement Kerrien was all in for his last 15,000 from the hijack and was at risk to Nebojsa Ankucic, who was in the big blind.

Clement Kerrien: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Nebojsa Ankucic: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Ankucic remained ahead on the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop but Kerrien added two more outs to his overcards. However the {9-Diamonds} turn and {5-Spades} river gave him no help and he left the tournament room with a little bit of disbelief on his face.
