Pecheux Makes Hidden Two Pair

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Heads up in a blind-versus-blind battle, Erwann Pecheux checked the small blind over to Alice Sicconi in the big blind. With a board of {k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, she bet 3,500 into the pot of about 5,500. Pecheux went for the check-call line.

The turn brought the {a-Clubs} and Pecheux checked again. Sicconi decided to check behind.

The river came the {6-Diamonds} and Pecheux chose to lead for 9,000. Sicconi didn't think long at all before making the call.

Pecheux showed {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for the rivered two pair that grabbed the pot from Sicconi.

Gur "Runs Good" and Chops With Bracher

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Franz Bracher was all-in for what appeared to be around 16,000 and table big stack Onur Gur eventually called out of the blinds. Bracher was narrowly ahead preflop with {a-Spades}{4-Spades} versus {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} but joked "you run too good" to his opponent.

Gur took the lead on the {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop while Bracher regained the lead on the {10-Hearts} turn. However, the {a-Hearts} river brought a straight on the board and they chopped.

"That's what I mean," Bracher sighed as he was denied a double-up.

Sitbon Back on Track With Solid Stack

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Majid Nadeem was spotted on his way out of the tournament area and his cards were already pulled into the muck.

The chips were pushed over to Julien Sitbon, who had the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} exposed for an overpair to the {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs} board. According to Sitbon, Nadeem had gotten it in with pocket queens and failed to catch any help.

Ullmann Empties the Clip

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action began on the flop with three players in the pot. The board showed {8-Spades}{q-Spades}{9-Clubs} and about 6,500 was in the middle.

Nathan Tetart checked the big blind, three seats over Shunsuke Tokoo checked as well, and then Nino Ullmann bet 2,500 from the hijack. Tetart folded, but Tokoo made the call.

The {k-Clubs} came in on the turn, adding a second flush draw. Tokoo checked again, Ullmann fired for 8,500. Tokoo called with 18,500 behind.

The river came the {4-Diamonds}. Tokoo checked, and Ullmann went for it all, moving all in with Tokoo well covered. Tokoo gave it some thought, but ultimately laid it down and lived to fight for another pot.

Song Eliminated by Karapanau

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Erdal Gulseven raised to 1,700 and picked up multiple callers in Marius Kudzmanas, Vlada Stojanovic and In Ho Song, the latter of which was in the small blind. Ryhor Karapanau in the big blind made it 7,800 to go and Gulseven called, Song then called all-in for less as well.

The {9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop saw Karapanau with a bet worth 7,500 as Gulseven called. After the {7-Clubs} turn, Karapanau checked and then jammed into Gulseven's bet of 12,000 with the latter folding.

In Ho Song: {10-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Ryhor Karapanau: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The {2-Diamonds} river was a blank as Song quickly headed out of the tournament area.

Kuzmanovic Check-Raise Bluffs River

Boris Kuzmanovic

Action picked up on the river in a heads-up pot between Boris Kuzmanovic and Julien Sitbon. There was 22,000 in the pot and the board showed {3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

Kuzmanovic checked from the big blind. Sitbon was on the button and bet 12,000. Back on Kuzmanovic, he check-raised all in for 47,200.

"Ah, why am I being so greedy?" Sitbon asked himself out loud. He went well into the tank for about 4 minutes. Another player called the clock. The floor counted all the way down to zero and Sitbon's hand was declared dead.

Kuzmanovic showed the {a-Hearts} first, followed by the {5-Diamonds}.

"Ah, I knew you had that hand," said Sitbon. "Either ace-four of hearts or ace-five with the ace of hearts. I had a set," and he showed {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

"It's hard to find bluffs there," replied Kuzmanovic with a smile on his face.

"Very nice one," complimented Sitbon.
