Covaciu and Grieco Contest a One Million Chip Pot

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Paul-Adrian Covaciu
Paul-Adrian Covaciu

On a flop of {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Paul-Adrian Covaciu checked to Nicola Grieco who bet 50,000. Covaciu thought for a second before check-raising to 165,000 and Grieco called.

The turn came the {3-Diamonds} and Covaciu continued his aggression betting 180,000 and Grieco called once again.

On the {q-Diamonds} river Covaciu didn't slow down firing 330,000 putting Grieco deep in the tank. Using his remaining time bank chip the clock ticked down before Grieco flicked in a single chip to signify a call.

Grieco quickly showed {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for top pair but it was no match for Covaciu who held {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for top two pair and Covaciu is now one of the largest stacks in the room.

Bogusz River Costs Beresford

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Conor Beresford
Conor Beresford

Conor Beresford opened to 25,000 from under the gun and was called by Simon Lofberg on the button. Karol Bogusz was in the big blind and just ripped all in for 544,000. Beresford asked for a count and then called to put Bogusz at risk.

Karol Bogusz: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Conor Beresford: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

It was a classic flip and the flop of {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} favored Beresford with the pocket queens. The {3-Clubs} on the turn had Bogusz out of his seat but the {k-Hearts} on the river left him breathing a sigh of relief. It was a huge double-up for Bogusz which left Beresford on the receiving end of a massive blow.

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ionut-Flavius Voinea: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Maliqi was in danger, and he couldn't find any help on the {4-Spades}{8-Hearts}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{k-Clubs} runout, so he headed to the payout window.

Saccucci Takes Down Multiway Pot

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Lander Lilo opened to 25,000 from early position, and he found three callers; Luigi D'Alterio in middle position, Jordan Saccucci in the small blind, and Petr Svoboda in the big blind.

The flop came out {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}. All four players checked the flop.

The turn brought the {k-Diamonds}. Action checked to Lijo who put out a bet of 70,000. Only Saccucci in the small blind called.

The river brought the {j-Clubs}. Saccucci checked the final street as he had every one before. Lijo fired 125,000. Saccucci thought for a bit and made the call.

Lijo showed {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. That was no good against {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}, the rivered two pair of Saccucci.

Aces Cracked Again, Saout Scores the Double

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Antoine Saout
Antoine Saout

Antoine Saout {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} opened in early position. He ran into a three-bet from Jerry Odeen {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} in the hijack to 72,000. In the cutoff, Pascal Lefrancois {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} four-bet to 165,000.

Back on Saout, he tanked for a while before ripping in his stack of 711,000. Odeen got out of the way, and Lefrancois snapped it off.

All in and at risk Saout was queen hunting, and he wasn't aware that Odeen already folded one. The flop showed up {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}, no help at all. The turn was the miracle {q-Diamonds}, catapulting Saout into the lead. The river was a {2-Hearts} to complete the unlikely double for Saout and take a big chunk off of Lefrancois.
