Talbot Joins a "French" Table

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Milan Simko opened to 40,000 from under the gun and Yannick Cardot three-bet to 110,000 on the button. Simko called and they went heads-up to a flop of {6-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

With the field down to 32 players, another table was broken and Parker Talbot joined Table 3. "Wow, are you guys all French here?" Talbot questioned as five players along with the dealer confirmed they were French.

"We're getting better," Fabrice Bigot pointed out.

"I thought there was just more of you," Talbot joked.

Ondrej Drozd
Ondrej Drozd

Action folded around to Ondrej Drozd with {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} in the cutoff who opened to 40,000, Javier Gomez Zapatero folded the button and Oddvar Brendo had {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and reraised all in for his remaining 340,000.

In the big blind Natan Chauskin had {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and used a time bank card before also going all in for his remaining stack and Drozd made the call covering both players.

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Drozds nines held eliminating both players.

Interestingly Brendo and Chauskin started the hand with the same amount of chips and as they were eliminated simultaneously on a pay jump they split the difference.
