Bogusz River Costs Beresford

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Conor Beresford
Conor Beresford

Conor Beresford opened to 25,000 from under the gun and was called by Simon Lofberg on the button. Karol Bogusz was in the big blind and just ripped all in for 544,000. Beresford asked for a count and then called to put Bogusz at risk.

Karol Bogusz: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Conor Beresford: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

It was a classic flip and the flop of {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} favored Beresford with the pocket queens. The {3-Clubs} on the turn had Bogusz out of his seat but the {k-Hearts} on the river left him breathing a sigh of relief. It was a huge double-up for Bogusz which left Beresford on the receiving end of a massive blow.

Covaciu and Grieco Contest a One Million Chip Pot

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Paul-Adrian Covaciu
Paul-Adrian Covaciu

On a flop of {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Paul-Adrian Covaciu checked to Nicola Grieco who bet 50,000. Covaciu thought for a second before check-raising to 165,000 and Grieco called.

The turn came the {3-Diamonds} and Covaciu continued his aggression betting 180,000 and Grieco called once again.

On the {q-Diamonds} river Covaciu didn't slow down firing 330,000 putting Grieco deep in the tank. Using his remaining time bank chip the clock ticked down before Grieco flicked in a single chip to signify a call.

Grieco quickly showed {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for top pair but it was no match for Covaciu who held {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for top two pair and Covaciu is now one of the largest stacks in the room.

Kliper Collects More from Adams

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Arie Kliper and Timothy Adams were heads-up in the blinds on a flop of {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Kliper led out with a bet of 22,000 into a pot of around 80,000 and Adams called.

The {5-Hearts} on the turn put four hearts on the board and Kliper checked this time. Adams dropped in a bet of 65,000 and Kliper called to see the {4-Hearts} on the river. Kliper checked and Adams gave it some thought before checking back. Kliper turned over {10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a better flush than the board and Adams mucked.

Paulius Vaitiekunas: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
