Orpaz Shows a Bluff

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action was picked up on the river in a heads-up pot between under the gun player Tom Orpaz and Kelvin Kerber in the small blind on a board reading {k-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{j-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

With an array of chips already in the middle, Orpaz bet 18,000 when checked to. Kerber laid it down.

"Show the bluff!" Orpaz cheered as he tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for an underpair. "Good for the game!"

"That's a value bet!" someone countered as the table laughed.

Martirosian Doubles Through Addamo

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Artur Martirosian
Artur Martirosian

With roughly 14,000 in the pot on a {9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, Michael Addamo led for 6,700 in the big blind, and Artur Martirosian called in the hijack.

The {5-Hearts} landed on the turn, Addamo checked, and Martirosian bet 8,500. Addamo then check-jammed, and Martirosian thought about it before calling for his 29,400 total chips.

Artur Martirosian: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Michael Addamo: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The {7-Diamonds} river failed to improve Addamo, and Martirosian secured the double early in the day.

Pardo Dents O'Dwyer Early

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Steve O'Dwyer raised on the button and Juan Pardo three-bet to 2,800 from the small blind. O'Dwyer called.

The flop landed {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Pardo continued with a bet of 4,500. O'Dwyer called. Pardo then checked on the {j-Spades} turn and O'Dwyer checked back.

The river brought the {q-Spades} and Pardo bet 15,000. O'Dwyer used through most of his 30-second shot clock and called, only to muck when Pardo showed {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for a rivered full house.
