Addamo Staying Alive

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Artur Martirosian raised to 800 in early position and Michael Addamo defended out of the big blind.

Addamo checked on the {q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop and Martirosian bet 500. Addamo called. Addamo checked again on the {5-Clubs} turn and called a bet of 2,000 from his opponent.

Addamo checked a third time on the {a-Spades} river and Martirosian checked back. Addamo showed {k-Spades}{5-Hearts} for fives and fours and Martirosian quietly mucked.

Danchev Takes a Pot

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Dimitar Danchev opened to 800 in the cutoff, Timothy Adams called on the button, and Stephen Chidwick defended the big blind.

The flop fell {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts} and action checked to Adams who bet 800. Danchev called and Chidwick folded.

On the {9-Clubs} turn, Danchev check-called for 3,300, and both players checked the {7-Spades} river.

Danchev tabled {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} to take the pot with two pair as Adams' hand went into the muck.

Orpaz Binks Straight to Eliminate Dimov

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Tom Orpaz
Tom Orpaz

Tom Orpaz relayed in vivid detail a hand to PokerNews where he busted Ognyan Dimov.

According to Orpaz, Dimov opened to 600 on the button and Orpaz called in the small blind, as did Jean-Noel Thorel in the big blind.

On the flop of {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-}, Orpaz said he "donk-bet" 1,000 after announcing he would do so ahead of the flop. Thorel folded and Dimov raised to 3,500 and Orpaz called.

Orpaz then checked dark before the {q-} on the turn and Dimov bet 6,500. Orpaz check-jammed and Dimov called off with his stack of around 40,000.

Orpaz showed {10-}{8-} for a turned straight to be ahead of the flopped set of Dimov with {9-}{9-}. The {k-} on the river didn't change things and Dimov hit the rail as Orpaz attempted to console him.

"That hand played itself," Orpaz said about the wildly unconventional hand.

Martirosian Takes More from Addamo

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

In a heads-up pot on a board of {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}, Michael Addamo checked and Artur Martirosian, who earlier doubled through the Australian crusher, bet 300. Addamo called.

Addamo checked again on the {8-Hearts} turn and Martirosian bet 1,500. Addamo called. Addamo checked a third time on the {j-Clubs} river and opted to fold when Martirosian fired a hefty bet of 10,000.
